  1. Tits are really not all that inconvenient. Actually, I can see no downside to having a set of them. Nether are Raven Pros, in the length of 65 CM, for a woman of the 5'9" height. I have one Raven Pro, and it's a good piece of gear.

    burning CDs

I got good results by slowing the burn rate down to 4x.
  5. Ben, Ok, whatever, it's a hard 5.9, so if this is n00bie climbing I guess I would look for something friendlier.

    burning CDs

With different computers, with different programs, with different music CDs, I have had maybe half of all I try to burn come out and the rest, not. Is there a trick to getting less wasted burns? Perhaps a certain brand of blanks, or a certain burn speed that works the best for people?
  7. And he dissed on a woman's climbing ability in a thread about a women's climbing GTG he was trying to get himself invited to.
  8. Griz: Thanks. I'm supposed to be using a net? Jeez, thanks for telling me, I've been desliming them so bad, and a net would help!
  9. I need someone to show me how to get them off the hook without mauling them and rendering them half-dead by the time I get the little buggers back in the water. Hey Timmay! You know what we need here? The all-new super-fantastic Alpine Fishing Forum!
  10. If I may respectfully give a little input, I think one of the first orders of business might be to educate the members about some stewardship issues, what Wilderness designation means to climbers, and how the public comment process works. I say this because I feel I've been able to give a lot more input on stuff I care about as a private citizen than as a volunteer for WTA. Having everyone undertand how the system works is half yer battle, IMO. BTW Matt, I don't think Gary's out on paternity leave anymore.
  11. I'd say be halfway nice to her and don't make fun of her, for starters. Always worked for me.....
  12. But the important thing is it's way fun. Spin or fly, don't forget to get a license, it's a big fine if you get busted without one.
  13. It does count, as long as both activities are done with the same partner.
  14. Well that might explain why they fit me great too, as I am no gazelle myself. The one thing I'd like to get rid of is those front pockets. The zips are not in a very good place and plus they are not the pants's most flattering feature either. The belt thing will def. get fixed before next ski season.
  15. Godzilla is NOT a beginner route.
  16. Thank you for the TR, you are getting me way psyched for my own try at the Traverse in early September.
  17. I store tents stuffed losely into a bigger stuff sack. As stated before, dry thoroughly prior to storing.
  18. And what Park and Ride, missy?

Where on earth did people get the idea that documentaries were supposed to be unbiased? Ever see the most famous documentary of all time, The Triumph of the Will? It's Nazi propaganda. Still a documentary though.
  22. yeah, but who cares she's hot, she can say anything she wants i for one am completely shocked that the DEMOCRATIC senators Kerry and Edwards have liberal voting records. shocked, absolutely stunned Uh, I KNOW.....you'd think they were DEMOCRATS or something!
  23. We met tonight and have opted for the PT. Maybe do some variation on the Luna next year if all goes well. The big diff is PT=14K w/o peaks, and Luna is closer to 18, plus the mileages for the PT are less. Sure, Josh, I agree with you that they are both committing, but one guy in our party has done both and we all sort of agree the PT looks to be more within striking distance for the team we've got.

  25. NO! Do you? I mean the numbers alone are way worse for Luna....and the suffering factor is known to be very high in the Picketts. Anyone care to comment on this? The PT looks much easier and a better match for our party's fitness and experience level.
