Well, DriClimes are already made in BanglaDesh.....

Today on KUOW 94.9 Seattle Intelligence officials describing the conspiracy and planning of the attacks. Pretty interesting stuff. I think it's on til 3.

Well, the Ascent has been good so far. Checked it against a GPS a couple of times, and it's way better IMO. I haven't tried the Oregon, it's too massive for me.

Look, if you are going to make fun of my typos, at least spell them correctly. Do you even know what an ad hominem attack is, or do you just like throwing that term out every time you can't win an argument?
-
Yeah, that was a pretty viscious personal attack when I explained to you where the Forest Service gets their money.
-
Actually, Scott, I've been flinging out factual information in this thread. You would be the one TALKING out of your ASS about something that you obviously know NOTHING about.
-
Yep, and according to MRNP, no flooding or road damage at present, though with that road it's always subject to change.
-
Scott, you're an idiot. The money generated from timber sales is put into the General Fund. The FS budget is appropriated by Congress. Thanks for the link Jim.

There is a fair bit of hands-off firefighting going on in Wilderness areas already. Jim said no more cutting of OG on public lands. NOT "no logging on public land." BTW, you ought to go look up what the percentage of logging in say, Washington, in say, 2002 or 2003 was on public lands. Not a hella lot. See above. Wrong again. That sounds like corporate welfare. Dude. Do you even know where the FS gets their budget? It's sure as hell not from timber sales!
-
Rats, Jim, I wish the kids had calmed down and let you talk. You make some excellent points. If I can coax you back to the conversation, I did have a question from your last post. You say "stop all old-growth logging on public land." I know the state pretty well, though not like the back of my hand, and my dad works in the timber biz, and we've been trying to think of ANY unprotected OG forest land in WA. Dad thinks there might be some south of Snoq Pass, and there's some in the proposed Wild Sky Wilderness I think, but beyond that, are there really any OG trees left to protect? This, of course, assuming that in Shrub II's second term, that he doesn't dismantle the Wilderness system.

The Wn's Mistral and One pants are cut way better than the Mns, just like the jackets, for some reason.
-
I would rather look at the burnt trees. BTW Scott any discussion about the increased incedence of forest fires in recent history has to include a discussion about the global warming aspect of it. Our fire suppression policies don't tell the whole story.
-
Thanks Tim, I think that did the trick.

I think the appointment of a PM in Iraq and the seeming forthcoming involvement of the UN and NATO there is going to do more for Shrub's chances than any president dying.

I am sickened and angered by the insolence of our brethren to the north. I guess we should add the country formerly known as Canada to our "axis of evil" list.

Hey you guys are ruining my **you are ignoring this user** experience!! Quit quoting the moonbat guy!!

The sentencing in this case is completely disproportionate. I don't care if it's eco-terror or plain old arson, torching some SUVs doesn't warrant 22 years in the clink.

OK, I've had four sessions now. It's been really fabulous stuff. Some sessions are more painful than others. The session where he looosened up all the hip and pelvic stuff made me "hyper-mobile" for a few days, and after he worked on my Soas muscles I was sore for the better part of a week. Still, it's short-term pain for long-term gain. I'm standing up straighter, can walk better, am sleeping better, and generally feel fantastic. My only bit of skepticism lies with the idea that this therapy can give long-term results. It's too spendy to do it, say once a year. Anyway, that's the latest, and I'll check back in after a few more sessions.
-
Jay B, what's your take on bolts in Wilderness? What about power drills in Wilderness?
-
Thanks Tim. I did all of that just now, and after a couple of days of no chatter, I'll shoot you a PM if the problem persists. Don't forget to leave me off of ignore so I can PM you if this doesn't fix it.
-
LOL, you've obviously never seen this woman up close. I have, and it's not a pretty sight. She has a mighty grody complexion. Blech, super icky.
-
OK, so the guy who owns the board has me on ignore. Anyone else able to provide any insight on the flashing mail icon problem?
-
My flashing mail icon, upper right corner, is either not working, or working intermittently. I am using the most current version of Firefox. No flaming, please.
