Dude...I won't even try to speculate why you chose to write that nor why you thought it was clever. You might think that our (environmental/ethical) opinions are a joke....but you're smart enough and been around long enough to understand the issues and our perspective of it. Enjoy your drill...why not put it to better use putting an addition onto your house or some other PRIVATE useful purpose that won't disgrace PUBLIC land. Don, I gotta say I fucking respect you but when it comes to climbing you just dont get it. This is 2007, cmon dude get with the master plan. I expected alot more out of you for the "end of days" period. Get ready to write a note to your descendents to examine the values of the "community" just prior to your societies demise. Do a few c1/c2/c3 pitches and you will really learn how to place gear. I think going to the other end of the trad spectrum (aid) can do wonders for folks learning to place gear. It sounds weird but stepping up on placements really forces you to "look em in the eye" so to speak and see what works and what does not.

I have to say its been a solid 16 years of good fun and no BS for us. Marriage is great, assuming you made the proper choice for the proper reasons. Friends for life is the best way to describe it. We had the benefit of starting out kinda "rocky" ( pun intended) and everything went uphill from there. Toni in the middle with all the face "paint", five days after the wedding. I think the general theme here is DOGS. Alarm systems are good too but costly. I believe simple steps like not flaunting "bling", keeping shades drawn at night, clearing brush and obscuring vegetation, GOOD lighting, and common sense go a long way in keeping thieves away. I like being able to have at least one car parked outside and I have made a habit of whenever we leave the house unattended to wave vigorously at the house as we leave...giving the impression there is still someone inside

Amazing but one BIG, black, barking Rott does wonders to send the message, "you are not welcome here" We live on Tacomas East side (34th and McKinley hill area), and it is a colorful area. No actual alarm systems yet but Eventually I think well get one. But for now, 40 bucks a bag for food and treats keeps this one happy. .

I agree, if I have made the big comittment it soothes the mind to know things are cool so I can make smaller personal goals come to fruition.
