I have had one for years and surprisingly it is still in great shape! It's actually pretty rugged and easy to fix if something does fail. Perfect for one person (even though it says "sleeps 2"). It's VERY small, light and For the price, it can't be beat Keep in mind this is a 9 dollar trail tent... sweat builds up on the inside with the flaps closed, the 4 aluminum poles (two fit together on each end in a "pup-tent" fasion) could be easily bent (Mine never has but it could happen). Sometimes the only color they have is a dark blue, but a little black mist of spray paint fixes this. Yes, for quick set up and ease of use most of us keep one in the B.O.B.

Climbing is a pretty luxurious activity, if you had said donate for someone needing a bit of cash for a rescue or trauma, I know many would have stepped up. We have all been there and done what we needed to do to get what we needed. I applaude your thoughts Dane.

Like Frikadeller, I have owned and used the same old black 2 liter MSR Dromedary bag for over 10+ years and it still holds without a leak. The waterproofing on the fabric is immaculate. I have gone thru several bite valves/tubing but otherwise its a bombproof set up in my opinion.

Thanks too Robert, yeah I can totally see that in her, however she does mooch lovins alot so I think its 50/50 on respect and the same on small, furry fast moving targets We just need to grow into the vocal stuff, wow shes got a whine for every occasion!

Thanks Sherri!, and yes TPLO is fekking pricy, but like good gear, you get what you pay for No matter what the issue any loving dog is worth the effort!

...sorry for the delay in reply minx, yes it was a lipoma, as of now we did 2 TPLO surgeries on Jumar last Winter for 6k and now that we have the rescue Husky, we are looking at probably a tooth extraction and another TPLO on her. I remain adamant that it is money well spent on a companion that beats most human companions paws down. New dog issues: The previous owner of our rescue Husky (coco) was content to let her teeth and knee suffer as well as her UTI go unchecked. Just like kids, owners need to assess how far they are willing to go before committing to the responsibility of guardianship. I will say we did lose our rott/mastiff Max this summer, he was diagnosed with bone cancer in May and in mid July we couldnt let him suffer anymore so we made the choice and our vet came over to the house from Gig Harbor to put him down, peacefully in our garden among friends. The cancer was too far along to do ANYTHING humane at that point Cancer in the upper (mottled) section of the humerus. Max several years ago

This might be the root of his problems...

Shes already a sweet kid, not really a digger but I can see the fur thing becoming a massive proj. I will say tho that she is hella vocal, whining, barking, mewing, and howling seem to be her thing when shes excited about a drive or walk OR giving attention to our old girl Jumar, the calm and chill Labrador (seems funny to refer to Jumar like that when she was a psycho stoke nut case in her early years . From all the folks we talked to, Huskies are BIG on the vocal thing. She will probably need a TPLO on her left knee and I know shes gonna be letting us hear all her concerns when shes on recovery. but shes in a way better home with tons of love and attention and activity Thanks!

Gnar seems an appropriate description. Cool race, thanks for the link on that. wow

New baby girl! Were welcoming Coco into the family as our second "kid". She is about 5 Years old and comes to us as an adoption from a neglectful former home. Were gonna have to address some bad teeth issues and potentially a knee surgery (TPLO). Regardless, we have never had a "Northern breed" and we are finding out they are mighty vocal and a wee bit on the needy side. Any Husky tips are welcomed. ...she is not safe

I love the Tosca and of course K&D! Right now Royksopp is holding my attention as some chill listening as well. And lol Kat, I can't seem to make a vagina out of that molehill.
