  3. Pretty fucking sad. I'm closer than ever to that handgun purchase, not sure what i'll use it for but I am sure it will be in the defense of something.
  4. I agree...oMG. Chucks post is much more enlightening.
  5. I have a soloist and a modified gri gri, and both work well. Brian McCray tweaked my Gri Gri for me and its worked pretty flawlessly. Alot cheaper and less bulky than a silent partner.
  6. There was an answer right there...looming in the background! Turtle Head is always a cool hike! But a little rain really brings out the scent of the earth and the creosote bush! I miss those smells immensely!
  7. Funny this thread should happen at the same time this thread is going. Our Labs had had this lump for two years and the vet said no biggie, took samples and it was not an issue. She developed a growth on her elbow and the vet said...might want to have this one removed. So today we dropped $600 for a 13 min surgery. Pretty much didn't bat an eye over it. I thought about this thread while we were waiting at the office and i can say its pretty much all about the animals for me.
  8. Animals dont choose or have the chance to create or change their destiny, alot of those "homeless" folks have made a conscious choice. I donate to valid causes to assist the homeless population, but I come across enough of them that choose to mooch the system and not take responsibility for themselves. I will help an animal any day.
  9. We have spent 2000.oo on our Rott, Max for his TPLO surgery. It was well worth it. I believe insurance is a VERY good option if you have a healthy pet. Max was already gimp when we got him but our lab is under mid range coverage and it helps out nicely with regular checkups and even helps pay for flea drops
  10. I had a customer tell me about the separate lobbies but this is the first incident I have heard of. Curious. American woman removed from Saudi Starbucks

Sadly, it is amazing how many families put their animal down for much less severe issues. It makes me wholly sick to hear the stories from a friend of mine who volunteers at the Humane Society. If you cannot afford it, you should seek out assistance other ways. Alot of people still view a pet as a "disposable item" and not as a responsibility. I consider myself Max and Jumars guardians, not owner. We put Max's story at our local Pet shop ( Next to Nature ) and solicited donations to help with the TPLO surgery. We ended up recieving half the amount of the surgery and that helped us ALOT. It never hurts to ask for assistance. In karmic exchange, I volunteer with a local metro parks supported organisation for my local park, Rogers Dog Park in Tacoma and run the park forums board Rogersdogpark.org

Awesome! Aside from the local rescue where we got our dog Max; R.E.D., I think we have found another great resource and will send off a few dollars in support! The more I read the more I am stoked to see the support for all the little buds. Thanks for the links and great thread. Max 3 years after rescue and knee surgery. he still has the lead fragments from being shot in the back, but is stoked and well adjusted.
  14. Nice KOLOB shots avi! I so fekking miss that little oasis.
  15. Yes, yes it is! We ALL have one hidden inside of us.
  16. Hey Tony, was cool to meet you today at the gym. Good luck in your quest for Rainier. If you see me in the gym drop a hollar and we can share a rope or a problem. Dave

    jealous?

A dolt you are as you cannot even spell pedestal correctly, let alone respect your "love". What a fucking, 13 year old tool.

I believe "gone skiing today" would be grammatically correct..

Whats that pattern in the background? It looks mildly tribal?

    why buy a Mac?

Will it run Everquest? Thats my main criteria. It might help you in your choice.
  25. Which mill did you end up with Chirp? The "Vic Firth Gourmet 'Lock and Grind,'" the Mario Batali Signature Series, the 'Pump and Grind' or some custom made job? I'm sick of the mills I've been using. They always unscrew at the bottom or fall apart somehow. I ponied up for the Sierra, simple and solid. Good stuff! Vic Firth Sierra
