Jeez dude, if you'd waited a few days you could have called it a winter ascent. Seriously though, good on you. Good luck on your exam!
-
Yeah, but who's that on the right??? Muffy?
-
The spray's all here, the goods are in the freshizone, and nothing else has been deleted. Happy?
-
The spray went to SPRAY , the goods are here... Talk amongst yourselves.
-
Did I delete your question? NO.
-
One way to "steer" is to delete.
-
This is not spray people... The posts were cute, but I killed them because they were not really useful, and so many threads in the freshiezone these days are just heading straight to spray and drivel. Nothing harmful in you posts, but nothing useful either. At the point I first saw the thread, it was over 65% spray.

Twight talks a bit about pins in 'Extreme Alpininsm.' Pretty similar to what everyone is saying here, except he is down on LAs and Ti.

This is not spray people... One thing I have heard of is to take a piece, cut it in half lengthwise, then round one end off nicely. Stick the two strips together and throw 'em in your pocket. When you are shuffling in on some flat trail, instead of putting your full skins on, slap those on under your feet. Good grip, better glide. Haven't tried it yet, but want to.

Oh, that makes me feel better, I thought it was the ones from our hike up to Echo Lake. Double loser.
-
I was there when dru took this picture, and I didn't even get it. What a loser.

It's THIS. -
I sold bolts to Croft. Beckey hit on my gf while we were all out climbing. I see Sarah McGlaughlin (sp?) once in a while around the neighbourhood where I work. I went out with one of the Be Good Tanyas.

CBS, please stick to talking about things you know about. Tim and jon may be able to read your PMs, I'm not sure, but, for the last time... MODERATORS CAN NOT READ PMs. OK?

The frog is going places, it's the rest of the world that is standing still.

Damn, this guy's a quick study! Must have a good mentor.

I like "girls being girls" too! I don't understand why people feel there is a need for cc to be more popular or accesible. Who the F#$% cares if people like us or not? We like us, obviously, isn't that good enough? Or are we so insecure we need validation? Maybe Beck is right, maybe you are all a bunch of pussies. Oh. Wait. He was talking about me there.
-
Or better yet, make an appointment. Any fitter worth his rep will be happy to accomodate you.

nothing but here in telluride today. Is skiing on really that much better than skiing on rain? -
12 hours for extremities (head) 24 for core, otherwise too late. Or is it 6/12???
-
Try you, Yoda, to be? Or Muffie? So start a new thread. Oh wait, you already did. Or go start your own forum, where all the cool smart kids can hang out, and stop trying to bully us idiots and assholes. Awaiting your PM...

Ok Icebaby, here it is: If you look close you can see that the green part of the midsole is ground away at an angle. It is a little harder to see that there is a wedge of hard material glued in there, before the new sole was glued on. The sandwich is like this: Green mid sole Wedge of hard material Vibram sole The wedge extend slightly furhter than the original toe did, so affords a more secure platform for the bail. As I said, I have not got many miles on these boots since the repair, and I think, zero pitches of kicking. I have a friend who had the same thing done, and it worked for him though.
-
Whadda you mean? Turkeys don't fly.
-
My friend uses a similar setup. She got a kid's race boot because she has small feet and she had a cobbler grind the bottom down and put a thin Vibram sole on it. She uses this for bc, and inbounds. The only caveat is that it would not be all that good in an alpine binding, as the Vibram may interfere with proper release.
