  2. Isn't that what it was rated???
  3. I'll take em.
  4. And too This is one reason that they have started putting bolt/chain anchors on the more well used descent routes as well.

  7. The gate at the top is always locked. You may be able to get a key from the Black Tusk Snowmobile Club. I think there may be a gate at the bottom too, and I am unsure of it's status. You should be able to drive to snowline if you are not stopped by a gate at the bottom. The views up there are spectacular.
  8. Quick, go look, it's there right now!!
  9. Hmm, I own the company I work for too...
  10. tlg, I think weight may matter, as I have tried them out and had them slip. I am bigger than you. It was funny though, one slipped, another one didn't, so I think there may be some QC issues...
  11. Dude, that's one's totally over the line!!!!! Just kidding. Nope, she's not visiting the SSMF.
  12. ...
  13. Wow! I totally disagree with you there layton. JW has one of the cooler pitches in Squish IMO. Birds of Prey OTOH pretty much was a dirty grovel fest-POS! Do Eagle's Domain and then rap off, or head up Pipeline...
  14. Board lasted shoes depend on the board as part of the structure of the sole, if it is totally disintegrated then it is going to be hard to resole the shoe... Slippers never had a board as part of the shoe, they depend on other parts to hold them together.
  15. sure whatever you must be really desperate.
  16. Anybody know where I can get the actual specs for the tele norm???
  17. OK OK, I know they aren't guidebooks, but a couple of my prizes are: FUNDAMENTALS OF ROCK CLIMBING by the MIT Outing Club... 1956 That one came with an original receipt for all the rack and rope too. Total incl book??? $52.22 Belaying the Leader AN OMNIBUS ON CLIMBING SAFETY by the Sierra Club... 1959 BTW, I live in a house with an alarm and three pit bulls.
  18. Murray already posted this in the BC Forum, but i htought it should get crossposted here: Link to original post...
  19. I've overnight hiked with the Genie. It's definetely lacks places to put stuff on the outside, but that's why it weighs 16 oz. I have even figured a cool trick for carrying a pair of skis. I don't know if I can describe it, but maybe I will get around to taking a pic if anyone's interested.
  20. I used to ride as a messenger in Vancouver. Singlespeed (but with a freewheel) rocked! Nice strong wheel, cheap, never miss a shift, always in the right gear, light. I could replace my whole drivetrain for under a $100. Just make sure to spring for a dcent quality BMX freewheel. The cheap ones self destruct, and will throw you to the ground, unfortunate if you happen to be sprinting a cross a busy intersection...
  21. So, I know every guidebook usually needs some correction factor applied to it's travel times. How are Fred's times?
  22. Go read this thread: Round one of this discusssion... Then click here: Get your concerns listened to! Help fix CC.com!!
  23. $$$ would probably help, lots of it. Seriously, there's another thread around here somwhere about this. The problem is at the server end, and the boys are working on it... $$$ would help though.
