I'm a 20-something male, who had the good fortune to learn from a well seasoned older climber. I mostly enjoy climbing with these older types, since they share most of my ethical climbing points of view and tend to be less competitive. Lots of cool stories, too
Glad to hear that you're doing good and you injuries were minor
Not to put you on the spot or to give others opportunity for critisism, but would there be anything you would have done differently? Sounds as though it was just one of those things that can happen to us all. Thanks for sharing with us
Glad everyone made it out okay.
The hardest thing is to do is determine if your partner will be okay by themselves (physically as well as mentally) while you go get help. Sounds like you had all your shit together
Could it be a bad batch or ropes. I'm a Mammut fan myself, though I have a NE rope that is going to be my workhorse this year. We'll see how that holds up
I'll put up a few pics later tonight
The injured were well represented last night. I hope everyone with a cast, brace, or other miscellaneous ailment is resting well after a good night of partying
Yeah, yeah, yeah....we usually do it up there in North Seattle, but I figured in the last year that I've been going we could at least have one near my house.
Skylark sounds good to me, good place and good atmosphere
