  1. What, you mean Rotten.com is filtered from your school access? Shock! Censorship! Commies Run Rampant! yeah, you should be thankful. Thanks for the meat pictures Bill, though I've sort of lost track of whatever your point was.
  2. I've never been to Font, don't know how I'd like using rosin instead of chalk, but I hear the gardens are beautiful.
  3. And you can take pleasure from the fact that several people had to ask! Not me though, I know your wormy little libtard heart. Did you just cut and paste the comments or were you so devoted to the cause you actually wrote them?
  4. emphasis is mine. I guess Palin figures that the law doesn't apply to the executive branch. I can see why she fits right into the plan for the third term.
  5. So, I've just logged in (sorry, I went climbing yesterday evening instead of hovering over all ya'll's pearls), saw the thread title and thought, "aww, c'mon, this is spray." Then I saw it's an actual new route report and thought, "hmmm, maybe not" but then on reading through I see my first reaction was correct. Reporting routes is cool, but trolling belongs in Spray. Fairweather, you've brought an undue level of serious umbrage to such a thread, I'm going to have to reprimand you.
  6. Yeah yeah yeah, but let's not start in with that individual again, life is better here when he doesn't come around.
  7. A couple years ago Chad gave a slideshow at the rock gym in Olympia, great shots from climbing in the Kichatnas and China with Joe Puryear. After the show, all the 9 year old gym rats clustered around him to get autographs on their posters, just as if he was a rock star. It was really sweet, and those kids couldn't do better for a climbing role model.
  8. I hear the Hippo takes the cake for deadliest beast in Africa.

    WOW!

Once you move into the realm of large caliber bolts, like your Gold Standard or this 5/8x6 Dawgster the correct term is "rock picket."
  10. You might start with this.
  11. Access will only get longer if they follow through on plans to close the road permanently at Olney Pass.
  12. That looks like a pretty swell trip.
  13. Oh, you mean like Katherine Harris? The allegations of tampering are not some fringe Truther bit, they're much more credible and substantiated than you'd like to believe. There have been some independent hacking trials that have shown just how easy it is to change the output from those electronic machines, and that paper trails are not necessarily a cure either. Here's a link to a BoingBoing article about the University of California Santa Barbara Security Group's test of the Sequoia voting system. link Voter fraud has been around as long as there have been ballots, but the ability to commit it on a larger scale has only gotten easier. It's not paranoia, it is the law of the marketplace: any practice that will give your product an edge must be employed, otherwise you fail your stockholders. Winning is more important than how you win. I'm not fond of absentee voting either, but that's partly because I always liked visiting with the little old ladies at the polling station, and there's something warm and fuzzy about voting in the company of your neighbors.
  14. Yes, there's a pretty entertaining back story. Photog is Jill Greenberg and the magazine is The Atlantic. Greenberg actually sounds like quite an asshole, her earlier anti-Bush series featuring sobbing children entailed a most callous and inhumane studio practice. The Atlantic, who is upset with her use of the images, was pretty darn stupid to hire her to shoot McCain for the cover on a pro-McCain puff piece. Some of the other McCain pieces are over the top, who needs to see a badly photoshopped monkey pooping on McCain's head? These last two are spot on though, since they are absolutely true.
  15. Oh, must be a Pete Doorish route. I bet you could track him down without too much trouble and get your info straight from the horses mouth. I've never heard of anyone I know climbing it, but it would be very interesting to hear more about the route.
  16. Don't quit your day job.
  17. Damn! I was too slow. I do notice that your taker chose to be anonymous. Be sure and post a TR.
  18. Well, back in 1994 anyway. I believe he was the first to apply the term "quagmire" to the notion of an Iraq occupation. YENbElb5-xY

Kevbone, I've been around here a little longer than you, so let me give you a tip: It's best for all involved if you don't tell Dru he's wrong. I suspect this route gets done fairly often, but people don't do trip reports here because a number of individuals will pitch predictable little tantrums. Sounds like "mission accomplished" to me.
