I put some Nokian Hakkapeliitta link on my Vanagon just for the Finnish spelling fun factor. Actually, the Vanagon's a tall somewhat heavy breadbox, and these tires have really stiff sidewalls that help prevent that squishy cornering feel. They've been really swell in the snow as well, not surprising that the Finns would excel in that regard. These might be overkill for your minivan.

I am not sure it would be wise to call a gender an institution. I'm not following you. Sex for money has always had a certain weight, regardless of religious opprobrium. Prostitution is also in no way a gender, as even a cursory reading of the back end of The Stranger would assure you. It's most certainly an institution, the "second oldest profession" as it were.

Between the good weather and the oncoming time change, this Wednesday looks to be the stunning season closer to Olympia Climbing Wednesdays 2008. Everything on the crag, all 36 routes, is completely dry, and anyone so inclined should c'mon out and get some dry cragging while they still can. The only way to stick it to the man is to brew your own beer from alder bark and felt your own diapers from cottonwood fluff. I'm just happy to not have another plastic card in my wallet and score the occasional unearned bonus at the gas pump. Everything you purchase is tracked at the store, that's part of the point of checkout scanning. If it means they continue to stock Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout, well, I'm okay with that. If I can get a discount, so much the better.
