Gym climbing? The long traverses on the big footholds do this to my beater shoes as my foot pivots on each hold. Practice soft feet and don't move them around once they're on a hold.
With a beacon it's pretty easy to get within 20 or so feet of the burial. I don't think a GPS would be accurate enough to pinpoint a location after that - a 20 foot circle means a lot of time digging. Ideally you get it down to an 8x8' area and get to probin'.

B-rock, just out of curiosity what time did you take that picture? That looks sweet! I can't believe we bailed. We were hunkered down against that wall pretty good only a few hours earlier.
Mmwa ha ha. 1:05pm, 11/17. T'was still pretty windy.

Skied from a bit past the top of Palmer on Sunday, quite nice, pretty much above the clouds until the bottom of the lift. The gullies had some real nice light snow.

He he, always knew that's why you drove around in that thing.
My family picked up one of the first gen Chrysler Minivans back in '84. T'was sweet for roadtrips in my teenage years. Got 275K miles with no major maintenance. Called it the 'toaster'. Loved that car.

Have not. I have only a rudimentary understanding of aid climbing and no experience. It only sounds fun because you can do it in the rain.
- Take it easy climbing for a couple months.
- Dark rainy eves in the gym building endurance.
- Learn to climb easy aid at Rocky in the rain.
- Ski 'dem freshies.
- Easy winter alpine.
- More freshies.
- All kinds of trad and alpine in the spring, me hopes, don't matter where.
Upload it to the photo gallery, then link to it as a URL like this.
Wait, misread, nevermind, you want it in the post, I don't think you can do that...
