  1. Hmmm, the road was gated at 4K with no snow in site... Ah well, takes about as long to hike up Tilly Jane as it does to drive the road anyways.
  2. Cloud Cap road was gated at the ski area last Sunday. Didn't hit consistant snow on the Tilly Jane trail until about the shelter. Don't know when they plan to open the gate, but I bet the road is almost snow free.
  3. Ooooh that's rich.
  4. I have the Ascents and I think the 'teeth' are silly, but the heal lifters are nice. Not worth the $80 diference though. But really, just go with skiis.

  7. Another note, most good gear shops will mix and match hipbelt size, pack size, and made for women hipbelts/pack within a pack model line. Ie you could put a medium men's hipbelt on a smal woman's pack, etc. OMC in Portland did this for my gf with an Osprey pack and she loves the fit. OMC kind of sux though IMO.
  8. exactly.
  9. Aha! I just joined your gym on Saturday. See you there!
  10. Fuck that, let it grow. I prefer women fully developed, not looking like a 12 year old ...
  11. Feeling better sketch?
  12. and it's been said before a thousand times on this board, practice easy aid, ie make lots of placements and weight them. perhaps on top rope.

  14. Thanks Lowell, local history however dry tends to keep my attention. I'll write y'all a book report when I'm done.
  15. I did something similar, kicked a rock stairway wearing sandles. Hurt like hell but didn't discolor, and only swelled a tiny amount. Xrays showed two 'chips' off the bone right at the knuckle of the big toe. For a while it had limited movement but ultimatly healed fine. Docs didn't do anything to it, just told me to keep off it for a while and take vitamin I.
  16. Imposing?
  17. Anyone read this Beckey book? Looks pretty cool paging through it but it's pricey in hardback ($40).
  18. 'Cause we didn't know / couldn't really see where we were headed... Wasn't real necessary in retrospect. And I think it was nine-o'clock couloir. Rob on the ridge:
  19. or the price to pay for not knowing how to install Kazaa correctly...
