I have a pair and like them though I'm more inclined to go with sneakers these days wherever possible. They did give me some problems for the first fifty or so miles until they softened a bit, but now fit great. A friend also owned a pair and dubbed them the 'boots of suffering'; I have heard a lot of others complain.

uh sure, agreed. don't see why it would be necessary to keep that many motorists behind for more than just a few seconds though unless we were all moving at the speed limit. and anyways i really doubt that this happens with any regularity in practice...

whatever, when i'm on my bike we all follow the same laws, that means i get the whole lane if i feel i need it. you may pass when i deem it safe.
