    Static Rope Length

i prefer 1,500m long static lines for those free hanging no knot passing summit to base rappels off Mt Thor, or for setting up slacklines between Monkey Face and Smith Summit etc

Sex and the Single Girl and Sex and the Office by the notorious Helen Gurley Brown, ex-Cosmo bigwig. Scored these for 25 cents each in local thrift store. Highly amusing 60's vintage

    This is not Pabst
  11. If you are going to traverse Yak in May I hope you have a high tolerance for soaking wet, partially snow covered granite slabs. You could probably have more fun climbing at Squamish in the rain I would suggest some lines like maybe the Joffre Couloir on Joffre, North Ridge on Baker, N face on Shuksan, NW face on Matier, north arete on Cayley, etc. can be fun May type climbs. In late May steep south facing rock like the south face of Viennese can also be snow free and mostly dry. Eaton Peak can also be good while there is still snow over the bush. But did someone say - Mountaineers?
  12. "Tape? Tape is aid, and chicks dig scars" - Eric Hutton, Joshua Tree 1995.

  14. Artist wants to be fed to school of pirahnas Maybe the pirahnas would prefer a giant floating hunk of meat to a silly German artist.
  15. avalanche conditions for SW BC are currently HIGH at and above treeline with significant wind forecast for tonight probably loading lee slopes Shuksan isnt that far from SW BC. something to think about.

    The God Wars

Why should you feel helpless when atheism and agnosticism combined are the fastest growing "religious affiliation" in the developed world (well, except the USA )

    New Book

You might want to read THIS REVIEW before you run out and pay cash for this book. Some people have said how much they liked the book. I thought it was pretty shallow myself but I was predisposed to dislike Maria Coffey based on an experience I had meeting her at Banff.... so I was interested in what this grief counsellor had to say about Maria's take on death and climbing.
