Dave_Schuldt Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 Let's start the new year right. Where should we drink this time? Quote
mattp Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 Trask: why don't you bring that magic credit card of yours? You can let Dave sign your name all night and then, the next morning, call in and report your card stolen. Everybody wins. Quote
allthumbs Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 what is this shit? pick on trask day? you know my ankle bracelet won't allow me to leave the house. Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted January 6, 2003 Author Posted January 6, 2003 Great idea, however, trask is a whiner so he will never show. Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted January 6, 2003 Author Posted January 6, 2003 We haven't been to Teddy's in awhile. Close to I5 Teriaki accross the street. Smoke, not thick. Quiet place. People seemed to like it the last time. Â Any other ideas? Quote
mattp Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 "what is this shit? pick on trask day?" Â No. If credit card fraud is not your thing, leave the card at home, shed that bracelet and lets see you in Seattle. I'll buy you a round or three. Quote
chucK Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 I'll buy you a round or three. Â Hint to Pub Club virgins, noone knows what Trask looks like. If noone at Pub Club knows you then here's your chance to get some free* booze! Â *the one catch is having to take shit for everything Trask has ever posted for as long as it takes you to down three barley-pops. Â "I'm Trask!" Â "No, I'm Trask!!" Â "Neither of you are Trask!! I am Trask asseyes " Â Â What would be really good is if DFA showed up impersonating Trask! Quote
chucK Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 Iainy! You figured me out you cum lapper. Â Matt, I'll see you tomorrow to collect my three beers! Â I think the Pub Club should be somewhere with very good beer. Price is no object!! Quote
Dwayner Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 Pube-Club Dave says: "We haven't been to Teddy's in awhile. Close to I5 Teriaki accross the street. Smoke, not thick ."  Dude...I wouldn't list a smoking environment as an attractive asset. In fact, it is a disincentive for some people to attend. You may make the choice how much booze you want to slosh down and its accompanying loss of brain cells, but me and many others don't want to be reinhaling someone else's vile and destructive tobacco exhaust. You (and I, if I choose) can smoke outside almost everywhere without impacting too many others. So if you think smoke, thick or otherwise, is a plus for choosing a Pube-Club venue.......WRONG!  - Dwayner  Quote
COL._Von_Spanker Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 Do you live in california or somethin? You can smoke everywhere up here, except for a few really suck-ass places so lack of copius smoke is an asset. Quote
allthumbs Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 smoky bear says to smoke bowls not cigs. Quote
mattp Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 My recollection of Teddy's is the same as Dave's: it seemed relative popular with those who attended that night, it was not very smokey, and I think it was price-appropriate. I seem to recall it lacked the truly good beers that ChucK has a hankering for, but what the hell -- why not make our selection before 6:30 p.m. the night of pubclub for once. Â Quote
allison Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 I thought that Teddy's was a perfectly fine place to have Pub Club except for the fact that it is a place that has no food. I think I might have eaten too much teriyaki in college, and in the early stages of my career, because it does not taste good to me anymore. Same as mac and cheese in a box and ramen. Â Having said that, I will be in an agonizingly slow rehearsal at the "temporary" Opera House, replete with concrete dust tomorrow night. Next week hopefully it will be in Seattle, cuz it has been forever and a day since I've been able to make it to a Pub Club. Â Do you still have to buy three times more beer than you actually drink, or is everyone bringing their own money these days? Quote
chucK Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 Teddy's has got easy parking (unless the lot fills) and is easy access to/from I-5. You could go dirtball chic and just fill up on samples over at Hole Foods if you really need to eat dinner. Â Do you still have to buy three times more beer than you actually drink, or is everyone bringing their own money these days? You're problem is you drink too damn slow! Quote
Figger_Eight Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 Can someone remind me again where it is? Quote
allison Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 Nope, drinking slow is not the problem! Â it's the people who forget to bring their own money, and I wish it was only one time. Quote
To_The_Top Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 A Dan Larson showing (u'd be welcome)? I'll ask Scot'teryx if he can go too.... Can't miss this! Directions for those of us unable to pick up a phone book!?! Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted January 7, 2003 Author Posted January 7, 2003 On NE 65th st between Rosavelt and 11th. From I5, take 65th street exit and go east about 2 or 3 blocks. Bar is on north side of street. Quote
AlpineK Posted January 7, 2003 Posted January 7, 2003 Dan I'll buy you a beer if you show up! Â Teddys is on the north side of NE 65th East of I-5, just east of Roosevelt I believe. Quote
