Fairweather Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 Perhaps you should change your avatar to "Non-Thinker". You're just another AWL. (Angry White Liberal) Quote
Thinker Posted December 12, 2002 Author Posted December 12, 2002 (edited) Relax FW, I neither offered my opinion on the subject post nor bashed those offering theirs. My initial response to trask still stands...the video was posted strictly for entertainment purposes (and maybe to generate a little discussion.) My personal views on GW and the war at hand will remain just that....personal. Edited December 12, 2002 by Thinker Quote

thelawgoddess Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 Whatchootalkin'about, Willis? dfa, i think you were meant to post that under the Willis wall beta ... Quote
glen Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 Sooo... exactly how does that qualify as anti-american? Please explain. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I always thought that open discourse, discussion, dissent, and the like culminating in the casting of a vote was kind of the point of democracy? If you start with the premise that being a good american involves doing what is best for America, then it follows that one must understand what is best for America. How is it possible to know what is best for america without thinking about it? I would argue that videos like the one that started this thread are good for america, regardless of political flavor of the month. Then again, I may also just be confusing patriotism with nationalism, which is much more consistent with the current flavor of propaganda. Quote
iain Posted December 12, 2002 Posted December 12, 2002 Funny also to think that if the "founding fathers" were around today they would all be in jail. Quote
Fairweather Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 Iain, What leads you to this ridiculous conclusion? Quote
Rainierwon Posted December 16, 2002 Posted December 16, 2002 Why do you hate America so much? To speak out against the current establishment is not saying you hate the US, why do you beleive that everyone beleives this? I love the US but do not like the current establishment very much . Quote
Dru Posted December 16, 2002 Posted December 16, 2002 Iain, do you mean because they grew dope, held slaves, or organized an armed revolt against their then-current government? Quote
RobBob Posted December 16, 2002 Posted December 16, 2002 They would not have been in jail...they would have been hanged by the neck until dead. Anyone remember their history, and Ben Franklin's line, "We must all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately." Quote
RobBob Posted December 16, 2002 Posted December 16, 2002 folks, notice my correct use of the past tense for the verb "hang." as a verb: he was hanged an an adjective: I am well-hung Quote
