Fence_Sitter Posted November 14, 2002 Posted November 14, 2002 yuck what the hell? guess mabe cause it is another fine labbatt product...shitty deal...opened a sixer last night trying to rehash old high school party memories and it tasted like i was drinking water out of the frasier river! Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted November 14, 2002 Posted November 14, 2002 Damn, dude. If you're going to imbibe on the cheap, save yourself some agony and stick to either Hamms or PBR. That Budweiser shit isn't fit for animals, let alone self-respecting human beings! Quote
Fence_Sitter Posted November 14, 2002 Author Posted November 14, 2002 usuallyi drink much finer brew, but we were having a rehashing party and my buddy bought pilsner cause that is what he drank when he was in high school...you dont have much choice on what beer yuor gonna drink when you are 16... now i wouldn't touch it if only for nostalgia's sake...i wouldn't even do that now..that stuff tasted like piss!!! mmmm porter..thats better... chucK Posted November 14, 2002 Posted November 14, 2002 I like Budweiser OK. Especially warm Budweiser, from a can. Quote
specialed Posted November 14, 2002 Posted November 14, 2002 Shove it pussy beer snobs. Old Style Pilsner Rocks and so does fuckin Budweiser. It tis the beverage choice of Hardmen and Hardwoman around the globe. Soft Candy-asses like you probably drink Zima and play golf. Quote
Fence_Sitter Posted November 14, 2002 Author Posted November 14, 2002 hoorah! jsut got that warm nostalgic fuzzy feeling for the first H.S. party i went to you MUST be talkign about U.S. bud cause canadian bud (with the exception of teh B.C. green variety) is shiiiiiiittttyyy! Quote
chucK Posted November 14, 2002 Posted November 14, 2002 ... and even better is warm Budweiser, in a can, one of them 24 oz cans. Â Right on Special E Quote
Fence_Sitter Posted November 14, 2002 Author Posted November 14, 2002 i drink wild cat triple x thanks very much  [ 11-14-2002, 02:46 PM: Message edited by: Fence Sitter ] Quote
rbw1966 Posted November 14, 2002 Posted November 14, 2002 First mistake: you should be smoking canadian bud, not drinking it. Â Seriously though, isn't canadian budweiser stronger than its american counterpart? Doing a quick cost-benefit analysis as teenage boys are wont to do when faced with these trying alchohol decisions, canadian bud is the way to go. Â In more ways than one. Quote
Fence_Sitter Posted November 14, 2002 Author Posted November 14, 2002 rbw- the beer content is actuallt the same because the different countries use different %age measuring tecniques (one uses alch by volume and one by weight) so really there are exactly the same) hence teh can/am beer debate it over! Fence_Sitter Posted November 14, 2002 Author Posted November 14, 2002 i wouldn't doubt it given the taste, whatever they put in it, it cant be good for your health cause it tasted really unhealthy...liek i was drinking mercury not that i know what emrcury tastes like, but jsut tasted metallic or soemthing...nasty Quote
gregm Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 when i was in the army in korea they sold regular american budweiser in the PX, and one could also buy a korean liscensed budweiser in any store. the american bud was twist-off, the korean bud was not. some friends of mine used to like to ride the train to seoul and they'd make sure they'd sit across from some south korean soldiers. they'd try to engage them in a rudimentary conversation, including who was tougher, at which point they'd pull out some american bud and twist the tops off with their teeth. the koreans, who didn't know what a twist-off was, were typically quite impressed. offwidthclimber Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 nice story gregm! that's a good trick! Quote
Fence_Sitter Posted November 15, 2002 Author Posted November 15, 2002 we had heineken once, and a guy tried to screw the top off... had to take him to the hospital...he has such a hugh gash on his palm...blood was flowing free... one of those once in a lifetime mistakes eh? Quote
chucK Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 Twist-off caps are truly one of the major quality of life advances created in the 20th century. I hate those f****n' presumptuous hoity toity beers that think they're so cool and above the riff-raff by eschewing twist-off technology. Quote
Fence_Sitter Posted November 15, 2002 Author Posted November 15, 2002 true dat! nothing worse than getting to the campfire and having to wahck the heads off your beers on a rock to get at the sweet nectar inside... Quote
Uncle_Tricky Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 Three syllables: Ko-kan-ee! Best cheap weak beer out there. Quote
Dru Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 i asaw a guy in chetwynd open a beer in his eye socket and it wasnt a twist off either Quote
Beck Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 why a canook would be drinking budwiser is beyond me... try a Kokanee, indeed. I'm trying to remember my last trip into a Canadian "Beer Store" and what the cheap choices were, Â In america Budwiser is brewed with trace amount of Formeldehyde as a preservative, as well as other cheaper beers. Â Doubt any Canadian brewery except Elsinore is that devious! Quote

fredrogers Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 Okay you Canadians, what about O'Keefes Extra? Â Now that's some swill and only available North of the border. I make it a point to buy a twelver each trip North so that I can truly appreciate microbrews... Quote
Dru Posted November 15, 2002 Posted November 15, 2002 Labatts, Molsons, Okeefe, Carling Black Label (RIP), Lucky Lager, Bud, Coors, Wild Cougar, TNT, Old Style Pilsner all same. Kokanee has a mountain on the package and hence is OK, but only from bottle, not can. Quote
