Nitrox Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 They fail to acknowledge that all the blackingout was a result of trying to drink large quantities. College kids have been doing this kind of thing for generations. In the end the hysteria and attention is going to boost sales of the product they're trying to ban. Quote
prole Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 It's obvious none of you have actually drank this stuff. Quote
prole Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Tell you what, go purchase two cans of Four Loko tonight. Drink them in a single sitting. Report your findings tomorrow. Two cans... Quote
rob Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 On the contrary, I've been giving myself four-loco enemas for weeks now. Quote

tvashtarkatena Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Could be the can itself - can't save some for later, and that's about 4 beers worth right there at 12%. Repackage it in a resealable bottle and tell the FDA to a) STFU or b) try banning caffeine and alcohol. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Or just put it in a smaller can = 1 standard drink. Whatev. College kids gotta drink themselves into not getting laid somehow. Quote

Fairweather Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 WTF? I mean, it's not like it is a certain other legal product that kills 440,000 American every year or anything like that, eh. Tell these 4-Loco chumps to just give Gregoire a bigger share of the profits and I'm sure her cronies down in Olympia will back off. Quote

"The U.S. Food and Drug Administration told the manufacturers of seven caffeinated alcoholic beverages Wednesday that their drinks are a "public health concern" and can't stay on the market in their current form." AlpineK Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Fairweather will be talking up Dino Rossi the next time he runs for Gubernor and drinks approved tea party caffeine+alcohol beverages Quote
ScottP Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 linky What's next - ban rum and cokes from being served at bars? I ordered a Cuba Libra in a bar at Miami Intl Airport back in the 80's. The bartender, in a very heavy spanish accent, said, "Cuba is NOT free." and walked away. Quote

Doug Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 It's probably what got her elected the first time. Every time after that because there wasn't a better choice. Bottom line, the story was about caffeinated alcoholic drinks being banned by the Federal gumint, not the state. Whatever, I'm sure the libruls wil find something else to tax in order to replace that lost revenue, right? Quote
