Blake Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 The writer for climbing Mag who contacted and interviewed me edited out what I thought was the best answer to any of the questions. It went something like this: Â Q: you keep going back to the Cascades, why is this? Â A: I think it's because they are big, exciting, and close by. I don't have the time and money to travel the world, so I climb the biggest and most appealing climbs nearby. If I lived next to the Bugaboos, I'd keep going there, if I lived in Patagonia I'd climb a lot there, if I were in the Colorado Rockies I'd... well, I guess I'd just do a lot of driving. Â Â Anyways, I learned how to use YouTube and put my summer slideshow for ropeup online. Many of the pictures were taken by partners, and it has lots of familiar faces. Â here: Quote

Skeezix Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Nice job, Blake. I appreciate you giving props to Bob. Some time I'd like to hook up for a beer at the River Resort with you and Bob. Sit down by the bank of the river and swap some tales. Quote
Dannible Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 "What advice would you give climbers attempting the Megalodon Ridge?" "Climb the Northeast Buttress!" Â Word. Climbing wouldn't even give me a free copy when we were in it last month. Anyway congrats, and I'll get the money to next time I'm in Bham. Quote
Sherri Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Well-deserved kudos to you, Blake! It's been fun reading the TR's here of all the cool stuff you've put up this season--good to see that others can now share in some of that inspiration. Quote

  Good climbing Blake.... Quote
AlpineK Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 (edited) The first response to my very first post looking for bc skiing partners was from Alex (back then there was no such thing as a Spray forum) Â Infidel, you will burn in HELL! for not freeing your most sacred HEELS! (accursed jump turns through powder! Begone EVIL heretic!) Â Â Now we're both moderators on this board, and Alex even hired me to cut down a tree for him. Â Nice You Tube video Blake. Bug Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 I apologize for my flippant response Blake. I thought you were stupid. I miss the days of spray in forums. Â Seriously Blake, what an incredible transformation. Â Quote
fgw Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Awesome! Finally an article I care about in there. Congrats! Quote

Blake Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I need my gucci alpine purse! Â (I think I was actually slipping or falling over in the snow in that picture. L.A. Gear does not make the Cascades approach shoe of choice.) Â Quote
Sherri Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Â Â It's the helmet that makes that outfit pop. Quote
