knotzen Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Since this is not in spray, a "real" answer: I started climbing again after 3 years off the rope. I went cragging all summer long. I still suck, and I'm in lousy shape for climbing, but I had fun, and it was my favorite thing I did this year. Quote
EWolfe Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 I think you all know what my answer is. I will not draw any more attention to it. Quote

northwest_dad Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Yosemite trip, and the California wine country. Sometimes it's just good to get back to your roots. Anyone ever been to Goat Rock? Small but supreme ocean side boulders mmmmm........ Quote
Figger_Eight Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 My buddy's bachelor party - floating on the Colorado River outside of Moab for a couple of days. 8 guys, 179 cans of beer, 3 bottles of booze... Quote

badvoodoo Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Two solo road trips this summer encompassing 10 natl. parks and climbing at City of Rocks and in Bozeman, MT. Quote
sk Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 this was a big year. I got the job i realy wanted. some big personal things happend. i climbed well all summer. I gained and lost much. the best things were the first weekend in july in the Gorge. and the trip to Hawaii in Jan. and my fist Snow Boarding lesson. Quote
JoshK Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Oh, but how can I pick? One thing is for sure...it was a productive summer with great parnters all around and plenty of well-timed safety breaks to make sure the mood never got too serious. The worst thing of the summer was definitely the mega-thirst day on Index. That one is gonna hang with me for a while... Quote
northwest_dad Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 and my fist Snow Boarding lesson. what did the rest of your body do during the lesson? Quote

Chad_A Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Bought a house, and drank too much (ongoing). Other than that, Coleman Headwall was a blast. Continuing infusions of IPAs are fun as well. Quote

layton Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 I would have to say every single day of summer adds up to my favorite thing i did this year! Specifically cliff jumping at Whatcom Falls in bellingham. Quote
JonNelson Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Not as much toproping this year as last for me. Still, there was much to be pleased about. The salient rock shape of the locomotive was probably the favorite and a nice discovery to boot, but I cannot forget Carefully swallow the resilient noodle and The four babies and a dead man, for they were both well above average. Still, the year is not yet over... Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Visited the previously very elusive Circuit bouldering gym. Or maybe it was failing to send even a single 5.12 at Maple. Or hanging, taking, and winching 75 or so times on Aggro Monkey (on toprope, no less) while Katie Brown and Sonnie Trotter looked on... No, no, no. It was the AJK, hands down. Awesome. Quote
genepires Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 was a good year. guided a bunch of good people. got married. went on a trip with new wife to mexico and belize. (snorkeling in warm oceans) climbed a big goal for me for many years in the bugs. did a great climb with Darin on Castle peak. tons of craggin in leavenworth this fall. can't get much better I suppose.
