Off_White Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 Winter said: Drive By Trucker's for super edgy hard southern rock - definitely check them out. Did you happen to catch their set down at Dantes this fall? It had been awhile since I went to a show that featured multiple full on rolling on the floor kicking and punching multi person brawls. It was a good time, youbetcha. Quote
Harry_Pi Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 Hello capitalist! Anyone remember Bill Withers? Just sent one of his cds to my sweetie and she now thinks I'm a romantic kind of guy. Thank you for allow me to post. Quote

Thrashador Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 Swervedriver Ejector Seat Reservation The allmusic.com review is spot on imho. The album was a 1995 UK only release. Drag it wasn't released elsewhere and more peeps didn't hear it. The album really drives my tractor. Quote
selkirk Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I wish these guys hadn't broken up! Free Music! Bone Daddies! Quote
Kitergal Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I dated the lead singer/guitar player in this band...they freak'in rock!! Finally something worth checking out rather than a bunch of Moldy Oldies, "Down-Tempo" electronic (read mood music for yuppies), and hippy-dippy funkity funk funk funkity SHEEEITE! Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 On the sorta nostalgic tip, the Beastie Boys' "Check Your Head" has been getting heavy rotation for the first time since, like 1994. What a fine album! Common Rider/Against All Authority split (just the CR tracks--AAA kinda sux) Joe Strummer & the Mescaleros: world music-type music without the soft-focus new-agey cheese. Who knew? Relive those Clash glory days wit' a modern update. The Evens. It's Ian MacKaye with an acoustic guitar, and this Amy Farina woman on drums, and both of them sing. Imagine acoustic Fugazi on folk pills with some edgy estrogen thrown in; listen, rinse, repeat. Quote
mec Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Novembers Doom - The Pale Haunt Departure has been getting selected quite often on my ipod play recently Quote
archenemy Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 That's b/c they are Satan worshippers and have taken control of your iPod. Quote
mec Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 they are dark and doomy, but not too satanic, if satan was going to take over my ipod i'd probably end up listening to gorgoroth or early samael or behemoth or burzum or a few others... Quote
