ChrisT Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 I don't usually buy bottled water because I think it's a ripoff not to mention the added waste to our landfills, etc. But today I treated myself to a bottle of Aquafina. Man that stuff is good! Quote
RuMR Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 man...you must be bored silly...go bake something...sheesh... Quote
Dru Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Over 1/3 of bottled water samples tested have unacceptably high levels of bacterial growth. Â Most bottled water is just municipal tap water. I guess it depends if the municipality where they bottle it has better water than where you buy it.EG In LA even I would drink bottled water if I ran out of beer (Which is cheaper) Â But hey if you want to pay extra for something you already pay for just to get a disposable bottle then go for it Quote

KaskadskyjKozak Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 EG In LA even I would drink bottled water if I ran out of beer (Which is cheaper) Â I was in O.C. this August. Everyone drank bottled water. The going price as $2.75 for a 20 oz bottle. Quote

Camilo Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 I was in O.C. this August. Everyone drank bottled water. The going price as $2.75 for a 20 oz bottle. I was in L.A. for 4 years of college. I never once drank out of a bottle. Tap water tastes like a swimming pool but it was free and I never got any weird illnesses from it. Where do you live, ChrisT? I can't tell the difference between bottled and tap (PDX) water. Quote
bunglehead Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 That "Fiji" water is nummers! Takes my mind and palate places my ass can't afford to go! Quote

griz Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 pricey bottled water still tastes like crappy water in plastic bottle to me. people are tools for paying for that stuff. Â ya'll are chumps for marketing, i guess. Quote
DirtyHarry Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 HaHa. Get a Britta if you don't like the taste of your city tap water. Or better yet, move to the country and drill a well. Quote
