Squid Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 I was pretty impressed with the keg that Terminal Gravity supplied- tasty stuff! I went looking for in my grocery stores, but couldn't find it. Anyone know where I can find TG brews in the Seattle area? Quote
cj001f Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 TG isn't bottled so your best chance is a public house - dunno where you'd head in Seatown. Quote
Squid Posted October 6, 2004 Author Posted October 6, 2004 NOT BOTTLED!! Does the McMinninmananem place on Queen Anne carry the stuff? Quote
klenke Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Doesn't TG brew the stuff in NE Oregon? Enterprise, OR? Quote
Squid Posted October 6, 2004 Author Posted October 6, 2004 Yup- but that's a long drive for my post-prandial beverage. Quote
willstrickland Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Best IPA on the planet. Maybe TG can give you a contact for his distributor up there and they can turn you onto the pubs carrying it. Quote

Its exquisite....can you fit exquisite into a bottle? Once you bottle exquisite, it turns into really good. We all know that stout is better than really good. Quote
Winter Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 you crazy fool! bring on the bottles!! Hopefully then I won't have to spend so much time at the horses ass. Quote

rbw1966 Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Do you even know what he is talking about? The Horses Ass (or Horse Brass) is a pub in Portland. Fuck bottles--just get a kegerator! Quote

iain Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 The Horses Ass (or Horse Brass) is a pub in Portland. Correction, it is a smokehouse in Portland. I hung some salmon up in the corner. Quote
Squid Posted October 6, 2004 Author Posted October 6, 2004 Back on track- where can I find TG in SEATTLE? (ie. that other city that's NOT PDX) Quote
wdietsch Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Back on track- where can I find TG in SEATTLE? (ie. that other city that's NOT PDX) last time I had a similar conversation with TG he mentioned that his distributor did not have a license to sell into Washington State Quote
Squid Posted October 7, 2004 Author Posted October 7, 2004 I always liked portland better anyhow. Quote
AlpineK Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Yeah well they do have some good beer down there, but you can't pump your own gas. Fuck OR. Quote
Dru Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 But if you bring a tap you ARE allowed to pump your own beer at Grasslands anyway Quote
EWolfe Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Dru, we all know what you will be "pumping your own" of... Quote
chelle Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 TG is not distributed in Seattle...yet. Steve we're begging you! Squid you'll have to go to Portland to get some TG goodness. Or like Guiness, it is best straight from the source. Go to Enterprise and drink at his brew pub. Quote
ryland_moore Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Was out in Enterprise on Wednesday for business and went to the brewery for some good eats and better beer. Heard a rumor that the bottling process may not be that far off, but you may want to ask Steve for more details. Quote
Terminal_Gravity Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Sorry I have not responded to this thread earlier. The last thing I want to do is use this board for any self promotion. Even though I like brewing I'd still rather be climbing. But since you have all asked... I don't have any distribution at all outside of Oregon. Expanding the production capability of a brewery is very capital intensive. I have been satisfied with a slow and steady, internally financed growth and have not succumbed to the pressures of fast growth which would require me to over finance or sell off portions of the business. Selling out, IMO. We are still a tiny brewery compared to the large micros that distribute regionally and we simply don't have enough beer to even supply all of Oregon well. Soooo...even though I truly appreciate all the compliments and interest I can't give any timeline as to when I might start shipping to Washington. Maybe a year??? As far as bottling: the rumors are true. We will start bottling next month and a couple of speciality stores in Portland may have six-packs of IPA as early as November eleventh but it will definately not be on the shelf of every Safeway. Thanks so much again and if my beer makes it's way to Seattle I'll let you know. Cheers - steve Quote
sketchfest Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 I can't wait Steve, your brew the house! Here's to you Quote
Winter Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 TG, can you look into brewing up some absynthe and also maybe look into the local Oregon market for home grown kb. Also, try this new product - grean beam. Take the leftovers of the kb process and let them soak in a bottle of beam for a few weeks. I see huge growth potential. Quote
