minx Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 blt made with meatless soy 'smart bacon' . yum  despite my vegetarian ways, i have never learned to eat "fake/soy" meat. facon, soysage, fake burgers, tofurkey and the like don't taste like meat, they don't taste good at all. Quote

Gordonb Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 blt made with meatless soy 'smart bacon' . yum Was that one of those Vegan BLT's from PCC? I saw those at lunch and the thought of Bacon even being mentioned in the same setence with BLT's made me laugh. Quote
Dru Posted January 13, 2004 Author Posted January 13, 2004 i like those veggie meats. i just think of them as flavoured tofu. Â since i'm an omnivore I can mix n match. i used to shock the hot dog vendor at UBC by asking for a "veggie chili dog- with bacon" Quote
allthumbs Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 thanks trask. it was nice you're welcome sista, you were superb as always Quote
minx Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 i like flavored tofu just fine especially spicy. maybe it's the psychology of the concept, i don't like the flavor they use to make it taste like meat. Quote

Ducknut Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 Is it snowing there yet Ducknut? Â Nope it was about 60 degrees today and sunny. Not a cloud in the sky. I don't mind I saw enough snow and ice last week in PDX. Â The Front Range looks like it is below normal snowpack. But I hear the high country has lots o' powpow. Quote
Billygoat Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 Yeah, I was up at Steamboat close to the first of the year and they had plenty and got lots more after I left. Once we went east over Rabbit Ears Pass it got progressively dryer till Boulder and the Springs which were frickin' high plains deserts. Hope you get another eight foot springtime dump this year!
