jordop Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 Whatever happened to em? They used to be SOOOO cool, everybody wore em. Then, what schoeller killed em or something . I own FIVE (5), haven't worn one for a long time, afraid of being ostracized. Though I see a certain Squamish gear shop has brought back the stripy polypro, which is so cool it should never have gone out of fashion Quote
Dru Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 dude a fleece vest is the type of thing my MOM wears. Quote
adventuregal Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 I wear one all the time when I go x-c skiing... Guess I gotta find some new more trendy attire!!? Damn. Quote
fern Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 I have a red and black one I used to wear. Made me look like part of the away team. Then I remembered what happens to the red-shirt on the away team. 47% mortality rate!! So I don't wear it anymore. I shoulda got a blue one. Quote
iain Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 ha! careful how much knowledge you reveal so if I get a gold one I'll have short-skirted beehives at my beck and call? Quote
allthumbs Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 I wear a wool Filson vest all the time in the winter. Fleece, no fucking way. Quote
North_by_Northwest Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 I often wear my fleece vest on climbs. It has the same cool Mickey's bumblebee this hat has: I wear it more for the appearance than the actual use I guess, but who says appearrance doesn't have a function in the mountains? It keeps the Whack M.C.s away. Quote
Charlie Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 I prefer my studded leather cock ring to a fleece vest. Keeps the core warm yet still leaves a little flesh exposed. Quote
Figger_Eight Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 Fleece vests are what you get for showing up to the company team-building retreat Windstopper vests are another matter though Quote
sk Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 according to the shoppers at bloomingdayls, fleece is out and NEON FOUXE FUR IS IN Quote
Scott_J Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 Marketing my friend, marketing. Wait a few years and THE vest will be back so you'll have to spend hard earned money on new attire. Quote
lummox Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 i cant wipe my nose on the sleeve of a fleece vest. Quote
