For $50 you can buy a refurb'd Rio S30. It takes SD Cards, which many digi cameras take as well. For $75 you can buy a 1GB SD card = $125 for 1GB of music. You can get 512MB and 256MB SD cards even cheaper. Best deal on an MP3 player I've found, and if you break it you won't cry.

yes. fixed heel. E-Rock. I was on a hut trip w/a 10 mile approach, 6 or so is meadow flat. Sure, splitboarders made it in. Sure they can log vertical. Did it look like the best tool for the job - hell no.

West System Epoxy isn't flammable, it's expensive, requires relatively warm temperatures to cure properly, and it isn't anywhere near the best stuff to use on rock. So why do you use it?

There's a least one pair of Denali's out there. It's nothing a dremel tool, epoxy, some fittings, and some help from Lou can't change http://wildsnow.com/articles/denali_dynafit_retrofit/denali_dynafit_retrofit.html

Substitute "Garmont North America" for "Garmont". Even with the Euro 50% higher than it was 2 years ago you can buy a brandnew 04-05 Megaride online, delivered from Europe for $415. That's $180 less than US retail. You can get Adrenalin's delivered from Europe for $395. That's $240 less than US retail. That's not tariffs or other taxes, that's the markup for the worthless North American distributorships

It's supposed to be less stiff; how much so seems to vary person to person. But then, I've heard all kinds of relative stiffness comparison between boots. Megarides are stiffer than Denalis, no they aren't Adrenalins are stiff, no they aren't

-40F? Bullshit.

lightest, yes weakest, no There seem to be a number of Euro skimountaineers/tourers who mount Dynafits on fat/burly boards - they obviously like them. Now if they'd just make a brake to fit Ask Garmont to drop their prices 10%. $630
-
It's minimal weight savings; even the F1 isn't that much lighter. You do get to use Dynafits, and Dynafits

I use Lasers w/ Crossbows (187cm). They're more than fine.

Hey - nice pic in the City Sports Northwest magazine :woot:

I've never seen a snowboarder who doesn't flail on the flats in powder. In truly deep snow it's funny too watch them come too a stop, then step off the board up to their waist. Rolling terrain ( like a drainage system) is murder for Snowboarders/Splits. They can set good skintracks - the only problem is they can be too steep with the massive skins on those things.

Every so often a Salmon or Steelhead turns up in one of California's central valley rivers. You know, the rivers that had some of the largest salmon runs in history, but now run barely a trickle in the wet season. It's funny, but sad, watching all the ranchers call it a plot. Good to see us further support the already massively subsidized farming industry

The growing concensus seem to find the Denali TT as stiff as most rec alpine boots, and say 90% of highend/race boots. Unless your driving big skis at mach speed (no, most people don't) you'll be fine with an AT boot.

Powershield isn't much better in my opinion. Dry time is the Achilles heel of all of the softshell fabrics. I have the Serendipity glove (unlined IceFloe) Get something with a Gore-tex liner if you want to stay dry day after day.

If your interested in pants for climbing stay away from the Symmetry and go with something that has a climbing cut; the Symmetry has a big cuff (which isn't really adjustable) that fits ski boots fine, but not clkimbing boots. They're also designed for long legged thin people. A different cut than normal. Dryskin Extreme won't be too warm for most of the cascades in summer when you'd want pants.

Is your Dodge truck american?

I always find it difficult to distinguish hyperbole from stupidity when dealing with the right.

Subaru makes the Legacy, Outback and Baja in Lafayette, IN I'm sure the Toyota Tacoma's on your hit list - Fremont, Ca. How about the BMW X5 - Spartanburg, SC.

It's all the more galling when you look at Regula's Website. All 10 of his press release's are for pork in his juridiction. -
Yet Again Harpell doesn't answer any questions asked of him

Or that scene in Episode 3 where Anakin becomes Darth...

Answer the question asked of you Harpell (you've dodged them so far). Name one major non-Christian group lobbying schools to teach Creationism. Explain the false dichotomy between religion and science. Quit ducking (like every other argument you've ever had on cc) and answer poseur.
-
In theory Creationism != Christianity. In theory. In practice every group pushing creationism in the US is Christian.
