  1. If we're on that subject "Mountains of the Mind" Robert Mcfarland. A graduate thesis expanding into a book by adding a condscending narrative of how he's so much better than most climber's because he doesn't do hard climbs anymore.
  2. You've never worked a professional job in your life. Entrepeneurship, while admirable, is not the same as a professional career. Oh, and ace, you linked to the same stats twice "List of countries by GDP (currency exchange rate) per capita". That isn't PPP Kaskady - I agree with you; luckily it wasn't my group. Any company in a capitalist society that has to use the stick to motivate is doomed to failure eventually.
  3. That's a motherfucking funny thing to say coming from a 20something college student. You've had exactly how many professional jobs  iain's right about you
  4. Having worked at an employer that mandated 50hr weeks, bullshit. Mmmmm yeah. I'm gonna have to ask you to work on Saturday. To this, you respond "fuck you." And they fired several people who did (including a manager who refused to ask it of his employees). Several people left. In the middle of a bad job market finding new employment isn't easy. Scott - your statistics are exchange rate based, denominated in US $. Mine are at PPP, and as such less reflect the vagaries of monetary policy.
  5. Scott- You can't have statistics for a year that isn't complete. You don't post any sources, so I'm assuming you make up your data. Have funny playing with you, yourself, and the picture of Jude on the wall
  6. That was a prostetic.
  7. proving once again the american education system sucks there Harpell Your statistics are 1-2 years out of date
  8. Try getting recent statistics. OECD for 2003 has Luxembourg, USA and Norway as 1, 2 and 3, and Canada as #5. http://www.oecd.org/dataoecd/55/60/33747039.pdf
  9. Luxemborg, the US and Norway (which is almost equal to the US)
  10. Having worked at an employer that mandated 50hr weeks, bullshit.
  11. And once again it's time to point out US productivity is higher primarily because we work longer hours.
  12. Bullshit. Californian's regularly sport & commercially fish Salmon in the ocean.
  13. Dynafit template on Wildsnow.com
  14. And the amount of alcohol contained in a dosage of Nyquil is miniscule. "Acetaminophen is the most commonly reported drug overdose in the United States" "At the therapeutic dosages, acetaminophen can be toxic to the kidneys in patients who are glutathione depleted (chronic alcohol ingestion, starvation, or fasting)" (the later 2 may be of concern for alpine climbers) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query...p;dopt=Abstract
  15. At least until the rain comes Wednesday and Thursday.
  16. Buy 4 50lb bags of sand for $10 instead.
  17. ummm. No. There have been several cases of Ibuprofen related renal failure. All of the drugs mentioned Acetimenophe, ibuprofen, naxopren can cause renal problems with long term use.

    I can't wait!

Veins, Fairweather, veins. Arteries pump the blood (money), veins return it when depleted (crime, republican politicians, methamphetamines)

If Tom Foley were in Office you think they'd be paying $800 million? Do you really think Seattle residents should pay the $4 billion when even odd's have us (as US Citizens) paying $2 billion for the Knik Arm Bridge in Alaska - a bridge that some estimates say will see a few thousand people a day max?
  20. Britney Spears
  21. Excellent I could give a butchered description, but doing the reverse of these pictures works for me(except for the failing on your ass part): http://www.couloirmag.com/gear/accessories/skins/put_on_w-skis_on/standing_skins.htm It takes some practice, but's nice when the snow is deep.
  22. I think of Volcan Villarica everytime the Helens closure comes up, an active volcano in the lake district of Chile. They run tourist trips to the top where people come back with pictures like this (not mine, ask next month)
  23. then they suck Rando Skis- Remove skins (skis remain on) Lock Heels Go. Split- Take off split skis Remove Skins Join Board Step into bindings.
  24. That sounds like a decent reason to procure a snowmobile (did I just say that?)
  25. That's a flat section I think you just proved the point about boards on a descent. As for the switch; I can deskin & locking with skis on. Takes a minute or two. Splitboarders are still trying to play match the split then
