    I can't wait!

Veins, Fairweather, veins. Arteries pump the blood (money), veins return it when depleted (crime, republican politicians, methamphetamines)

    I can't wait!

If Tom Foley were in Office you think they'd be paying $800 million? Do you really think Seattle residents should pay the $4 billion when even odd's have us (as US Citizens) paying $2 billion for the Knik Arm Bridge in Alaska - a bridge that some estimates say will see a few thousand people a day max?
  3. Britney Spears
  4. Excellent I could give a butchered description, but doing the reverse of these pictures works for me(except for the failing on your ass part): http://www.couloirmag.com/gear/accessories/skins/put_on_w-skis_on/standing_skins.htm It takes some practice, but's nice when the snow is deep.
  5. I think of Volcan Villarica everytime the Helens closure comes up, an active volcano in the lake district of Chile. They run tourist trips to the top where people come back with pictures like this (not mine, ask next month)
  6. then they suck Rando Skis- Remove skins (skis remain on) Lock Heels Go. Split- Take off split skis Remove Skins Join Board Step into bindings.
  7. That sounds like a decent reason to procure a snowmobile (did I just say that?)
  8. That's a flat section I think you just proved the point about boards on a descent. As for the switch; I can deskin & locking with skis on. Takes a minute or two. Splitboarders are still trying to play match the split then
  9. W got his DWI when he was 30. That's not young and stupid. Dick Cheney got 2 DUI's. Once is stupid; twice is a judgement problem.
  10. About as good as the snowboarders twist 90's on Pucci today I'm sure.
  11. Huh? Your pedaling a bike! It's the same damn muscles - different intervals, but the same motions. How are they different? I actually enjoy running in the cold & rain. It's the only time I don't overheat.
  12. I'm working on it. I'll be so much happier when all the Salmon are gone At least there was powder today.
  13. I second this. Matthiesen "Wild Snow", "Mt Hood: A Complete History"
  14. How bout an accident that should have resulted in a manslaughter conviction (teddy k, mrs w ?) And if you think it's "less than perfect" how'd you feel if half of the soldiers in Iraq decided to go home?
  15. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr . . . the NWS are such massive gapers!!!!! There were a few spots of windblown pow and some mid-winterish stuff between the spots of death crust: 6"s huh? Nice. Twasn't bad - and because it's T-Line, those stashes stayed all day; kudos for getting that high, looked nasty (for skiing) above the Palmer on Saturday. Praise Ullr! He shall deliver! There's also decent skate skiing on main street in Govy.
  16. How was that Saturday powder Today was actually nice 6" in the trees at T-Line
  17. splitboarders use splits because they like snowboarding. tele skiiers tele ski because they like tele skiing. rando skiiers like to ski and get places. Fat skis are a miniscule handicap compared to the structural deficincies of a splitboard.
  18. That's the advantage of a flash player - no skips, no $$$ player, almost disposable. Doesn't mean I'm not planning to get an iPod, I just know I don't want to take it everywhere (skinning in the morning, bike to work, running, etc.)
  19. Have fun at Bristol
  20. Lame ass book.

    Psychedelia Time

  22. That sounds like a drawback to running.
  23. $395 is the exchange rate Barrabes uses on their site; I don't know what they bill in. Free shipping to the US on all orders over $350. $395 can't be that much more than US wholesale - aren't retail margins on hardgoods like 30-40%? Even if not, $630 is still exorbitant.
  24. And you dry towels at 0F outside by body heat, too, right? I used to run wearing dryskinE pants and silkweight at 0F (fing rochester ). I was cold at the start of the run, and rarely broke a sweat. They are nice, but no piece of clothing has a 100 degree temperature range.
  25. In a National Park? The Green Goblins will you faster than Smokey if you don't have a Forest Pass
