I've filled out a number of forms recently with bubbles and boxes to fill in text with a pen. In all of these forms the instructions clearly state: 1 Use capital letters 2 Do not make marks outside the boundaries provided Clearly this voter made marks outside boundaries provided, therefore the vote doesn't count.

I managed to get invited by an employee to the new REI opening party. They handed out food and beer and then let everybody climb on the new REI climbing tower. I recommend drinking a bunch downtown then climbing the REI rock.

Years and Years till Logan can take on Denali. I notice that the mountain still dominates the world for the record as the worlds fattest mountain.

Hey Sobo. Have a great day I'm sure Bullwinkle's Family Fun Center would bend the rules for kids and let you drink and drive with a couple buddies today. [img:center]http://www.partywirks.com/asset/asset/63/Resized_Late_Night_Bash_Castle_2.jpg[/img]

I grew up looking at pictures on the wall of climbs my dad had been on in the 50s. During the summers I'd go hiking and later scrambling with my folks. At age 14 in '78 I signed up for the Mountaineers Basic Climbing class. I finished that and started the Intermediate class. When I could finally drive I grew sick of climbing with old farts (at the time 40 was old ). I met high school friends into climbing, so I ditched the Mounties and went climbing...

I rarely post topics of professional interest, but some folks may find this interesting. [img:center]http://blstb.msn.com/i/A2/57446C531215ED68EE8ABE108B98DD.jpg[/img] Full Article In Seattle view topping is common. People do it even though it often ruins the health of the tree and increases tree risk factors. One incident I recently observed was tree death along the Burke-Gilman trail due to malicious poisoning. I've also seen the aftermath of a number of trespass (tree killing events). If you have trees or wonder about pruning/removal or are just curious you can find information here International Society of Arboriculture Public Information

Born in Seattle lived in King County (way too close to Bellevue). Throw in a few years in Moscow Idaho and the Boulder area of Colorado.

KKK and Fairweather did the dog route on Rainier. Alert the media! Actually it is good you're getting out in the mountains doing something fun. It helps you find an interest outside of a sick and twisted view of politics/economy and world affairs. Now on a serious note. Kevbone, Dru is 100 times more interesting than you are.

Fungus will be the new fuel. [img:center]http://blog.wired.com/wiredscience/images/2008/11/03/img_6306.jpg[/img] Climber will be really psyched since this fungus comes from tree in Patagonia. [img:center]http://blog.wired.com/wiredscience/images/2008/11/03/img_7029.jpg[/img] Obviously there aren't enough trees in Patagonia for a lot of fuel. Folks need to collect a bit then figure out how to breed it. Story Mushroom power

Hmm. I recently found my old college ID. I should try a trip to Canada with that.

It's hard to sell vehicles when your customers can't get loans.

Back a number of years ago I remember telling people I talked to in France, "Le Bush il est tres mal," or, "Je n'aime pas le Bush." I should take a trip to France soon.

That's good news. I read through the voter pamphlet and read a statement by Sutherland. He talked about preserving habitat and clearcut logging through stream beds. I'm thinking he was a wack job. You can't clearcut through streams and preserve habitat. I'm really happy Goldmark won.

Ya know, back in the 80s climbing in hot lycra was a bold fashion statement. People eventually got sick of that kind of climbing attire, and now outfits like that are rare. Fashion always goes through retro phases, and I'm sure hot lycra is due for a comeback. Just in case you forgot I went through a old R&I mag from '87 and dredged up an add for this apparel. Soon everybody will have to get the right outfits to be a cutting edge climber. This is for both men and women.

Ann's own words Indeed, the only good thing about McCain is that he gave us a genuine conservative, Sarah Palin. That Ann Coulter is funny.

The 10 most beautiful peaks in the Coast Mountains
AlpineK replied to ScottPick's topic in British Columbia/Canada
I don't think I could ever come up with 10 best. Waddington, Combatant, and Queen Bess are all beautiful. Everything I saw skiing through the McBride range was beautiful. I haven't spent nearly enough time in the Coast Range though. A couple pics Owls Delilah The display image I see every time I look at my computer is a view NW onto the Lillooet Icefield.
