  1. CrazyJZ was once the victim of a practical joke perpitrated my myself and TFM (That Fucking Mallot. He doesn't post here but reads sometimes) TFM and I decided it would be fun to convince CJZ that I had a brain tumor. So on an April fools day at Index I slowly started acting more and more incoherent; while TFM told CJZ in hushed tones that he'd been talking to my parents and that they told him that I had a brain tumor and had about 6 months to live. Ultimately we ended up climbing the regular route at Rattletale wall with me complaining about a masive headache and passing out at the belay while TFM taunted me by yelling, "Quit fucking whining timmy tumor and lead your pitch." This is one of the only times I've seen CJZ shocked and speachless.

You need about 40 blue ringers or 20 liberty caps or two or 3 bayos.

You can eat the Aminita Musc. after some special treatment, but I can't help you with that. I used to have a lot of experience, but I haven't gone out picking for a while, so I'm not up on the best places anymore. One of the main distinguishing features is a sticky clear membrain on the top of the cap that stays intact briefly after you break the cap. Don't pick anything you are not really sure of There are some little brown mushrooms that don't get you high but do fuck up your kidneys.
  4. FUCK YEAH Boston rules, Yanks suck....so do you Mr E.
  5. Thanks Michael for taking the time to post your last response. Some of the other responses on this thread were confusing; it's nice to have the AF's position clearly explained.
  6. That's some funny stuff. Modern television journalism is so suck. Every kind of television journalism in the US sucks. Just look at the Olympics; I'd rather watch the Canadian version on TV. Where the hell is Howard Cosell.
  7. Quit whining and go to Australia.
  8. I read in previous posts that you and or the WCC want to help resolve the issue so forgive me when I think that you are directly involved or at least have spent some time studying the issues. From my perspective I read that one side seems to like bolt on holds etc. and the other side is opposed to the practices. I also read how the WCC and the Access fund want to help negotiate a settlement based on the middle ground. To me that means that a negotiated solution would leave some bolt on holds and some bolted cracks; either that or there are other issues not mentioned in the posts that could be used while negotiating. I was just asking questions and they weren't only dirrected at you. I would hope you or whoever does help negotiate does have a firm grasp on the issues.
  9. I don't climb there true, but I have spent a bit of time climbing at Mini, so I'm not totaly unfamilier with the region. I don't think I'm saying anything radical by saying that bolt on holds are unacceptable on real rock. I'd even be willing to bet a large amount of money that at least 95% of the current Spokane area climbers don't find bolt on holds acceptable. My personal perspective is that allowing any bolt on holds to remain at a climbing area sets a very bad presidence for other areas which I do climb at on a regular basis. I also feel that the whole issue of bolting next to cracks caries over to other areas of the state. This spring I climbed a route in the Icicle with blatant crack bolting. I would hope that there is only a very small amount of negotiating room on this subject, and I'd like to see this subject debated in other areas of the state. My original question, which you've avoided, is what are the issues that are to be negotiated. I don't expect an official position posted by you or anyone else, but I'm curious where there is going to be give and take since I don't see much room for that in the other 4 issues.

My favorite part is when Kim Jong Ill sings, "I'm so Ronery." I'm pretty sure I'm a dick FW.
  11. I can understand that due to prior personal conflicts some of you folks may not be able to deal with Dane, but I am curious what it is you want to negotiate. Bolt on holds outside of a man made structure like a gym are clearly wrong. All of the bolt on holds should be removed and not come back. Chipping is also clearly wrong. I don't see any remedy for what's happened, but nobody should do any future chipping. In general crack bolting is clearly wrong...given reasonabe placements. You may have some negotiating room if some of the cracks are knifeblade seams or expanding flakes, but that's all the negotiating I can see. You might get a new guy to talk to, but I don't think you can get or deserve a different outcome. I also wonder what MattP and AndyF mean by negotiating a solution. Are you saying that you're going to leave some of the bolt on hold routes intact? I couldn't support that. I can't imagine any but a very small minority finding that acceptable.

Fuck Yeah I'm a little disapointed it wasn't as disgusting as Meet the Feebles but it's well worth seeing.

I'm sorry to hear you're so bitter about winter Rudy. Maybe you should ditch things and head to Australia. It's spring down there right now.
  14. I don't have any problem with the popular vote Foulwanker. Like Squid said if we had a popular vote 4 years ago then we wouldn't have the chimp wrecking our economy and making enemies with our allies. On another note I find your tone confusing. You act like you want to be a voice of reason yet you can't seem to avoid making cracks about the liberal elite or being a jerk to someone who's trying to argue straight up with you (please note I'm not talking about me ).

Actually he looks like that little kid who plays the banjo at the start of Deliverance.
  16. hmmm. I find it hard to believe you could vote on something that would retroactivly affect a law. I mean they would have to figure out whether the measure passed before they could assign electoral votes.
  17. I don't agree with that at all Dave.
  18. I'm curious what you mean by late changing of the rules Fairweather. People are voting on a proposal that won't actually take place until a future election (also it may have to pass some legal hurdles) I also don't see where WA is any different from a number of other states. I bet you could find quite a few states where there is a similar geographic split. Are you grumpy because your vote for president may not count?
  19. I'm not sure what kind of crack you smoke Fairweather. By general consensus Kerry won the first two debates, and I believe, like Mr E, that he'll have won this one. I think the election will be real close. I'm not sure who will win, but I'm hoping that new voters will push things towards Kerry.
  20. I like Patagonia...and Fairweather's distaste for what they do is just one more reason to buy their stuff.
  21. Um Bandit have you ever skied above tree line on a big Cascade volcano in the winter. I think Wistler wont face much competition.
  22. Don't expect firewood till friday, but I'll be there with firewood.
  23. Ok I'll bite. You shouldn't solo if you feel uncomfortable. Take a partner and do a running belay. That's the fastest way I can think of. If you ever aspire to climb long alpine routes you will eventually have to solo 4th and easy 5th class rock so you can climb fast. You need to work up to that though...
  24. Fuck Bush. If he was an ordinary guy I might view him as human, but he's the worst president the US has seen in my memory.
