  1. From what I've read the folks backing the recall measure are from Seattle but not liberal. Come on up Fairweather I'll take you around town and show all the Bush yard signs. Which reminds me of a funny story. My employee and I were driving down I-5 to a job and saw some folks on an overpass waving Bush signs back a couple weeks ago. We both rolled down our windows and gave the Bush lovers the bird...they stoped waving at us

Ah Lambone I was around in 2001. All Cavey's attacks got deleted fairly fast and then he got banned for a while. In your case it's funny watching you throw a temper tantrum. You're doing a good job shooting yourself in the foot. Maybe we'll just let you keep making an ass of yourself.

You're going to quit. Anyone who says that, "I don't climb in Washington anymore and I never climbed at Darrington when I lived there; I don't give a fuck if they close the place down." is a tool of the highest order. You can't leave fast enough to make me happy. bu bye No Really: bu bye

Um Josh I hope you enjoy reading your posts from last night.
  6. That reminds me of a funny story someone told me about chugging olive oil and the concequences...now who was that.
  7. Yo Joseph. Maybe you should stick to the point instead of speculating. You don't have to do things the exact same way your partner does. There are plenty of stories out there of climbing partners who climb some crazy stuff while also having major disfunctional behavior going on. The main thing I'm worried about on a long climb is spending an unplanned night on route. As to accidents; they happen usually when 2 or more things go wrong at one time. Something going wrong includes personal decisions as well as random chance. Like I said above I try and minimize my fuck ups by doing one thing at a time and focusing on the one task I'm doing. I don't choose a partner by finding someone who does things the same way I do. I just look for someone competent who I'm not likely to kill if I'm forced to spend a week in a tent with.
  8. Let's break down Dr. Don's first post. So Don gives us a bullshit sandwich. Lies and bullshit sandwiched between 2 statements that everbody seems to agree with. So what are you going to do Don? post another one of your stupid pictures???
  9. Being a lefty nobody racks the way I like I'd agree with chuck and the capt'n. Just rerack the way you like. It ain't life or death. On a long climb what is the most important is constant motion. You should always be doing something. Focus on one task, and when you're done immediately start a new task.
  10. Do you have any info you can point to? That would suck if they did that.
  11. Shit man I offered to pay Don about $100 to climb a 5.13, and all I got was hot air.
  12. Um...let's all take a deap breath and try and relax.
  13. I could go on, but instead I'll just repeat what RuMR said.
  14. You may have hit on something there. Cracked needs to ski in the summer a lot cause when there are lots of skiers out in the winter people laugh at him.
  15. Poor Don's been using bullying tactics for 3 years when it comes to bolting debates and now hes all because I and others call him on it. boo fucking hoo Just be honest with people here. You don't want to resolve or debate anything you just want to spew.
  16. At least your not posting your stupid photos. Too bad you choose to respond in the unreadable MtGoat fashion. I don't think I need to know in detail what you've been doing recently to say that you don't climb much. If you did climb a lot you be either out doing it and not posting here or you post trip reports or participate in other climbing related threads that don't have anything to do with bolting. I do remember seeing you a lot at Index in the early 90's. Every time I'd walk by the lower wall you'd be solo aiding City Park. You didn't seem to have much issues with the bolt ladder at the bottom. Anyway please answer the questions. Have you ever directly contacted folks who are out setting bolted routes? Have you ever convinced one of those route setters to not put up a route?

  18. If somebody I knew was dumping trash in my neighborhood. I would first ask them not to, and if they then continued I'd call the cops since it's a crime. What I would not do is go onto a civic internet board equivilant of CC.com and whine about it.

  20. Don you are so easy to troll it's like shooting fish in a barrel. For years you have either explicitly or implicitly stated on cc that sport climbing and sport climbers are gay. Let me edjucate you a little. When you start a debate like you always do you close off any real discussion. In my view you aren't looking for a debate; your just looking for a lecturn and a mass audience to spout your views to. If you really cared about the issue you'd be writing letters to the Access Fund or to the folks who are actually putting up the routes you profess to hate. I know you don't climb much anymore, so let me clue you in to modern climbing. If you climb a lot now a days then you climb both sport and trad. Both forms of climbing are challenging in their own way. Look around the world of climbing some of the best sport climbers can crank some hard cracks when they want to. I'll agree with the point that climbers shouldn't leave their draws on a climb for long periods of time both from the view of aesthetics and also from a view of safety...all that uv radiation weakens the draws over time. What I don't agree with is your bluster and bs. Tell me have you ever actually convinced anyone who sets routes that they are wrong and that they should stop? Let me answer that for you... No BTW it's Kurt
  21. No shit. I might agree with some of Don's points, but he's such a jerk about how he represents himself that I wouldn't even bother to listen to his oppinion let alone debate him. By the way Don how's that training going? When are you going to climb a 5.13? I'm still willing to pay you.

Well he isn't going to be a branch manager for long if doesn't drag some more brush. It's been 2 days and all he's done is move 1 limb.
  23. Let him learn the hard way. That's what we used to do in the pre internet days. Go for it Gary...bring a summer bag it'll be great.
  24. "It's 40 bellow but I don't give a fuck, got a heater in my truck and I'm off to the rodeo." Sorry no Smith for me.

Gary could be the "Branch Manager." Yes he could. I'm sorry to say that one's been thought of years ago.
