  1. Nice story. It looks like a fantastic place!
  2. I've got a nice set of vinyl. I don't listen to it that often, but I love the stuff and I'd be hard pressed to let it go.
  3. He's a good one. I put Brian Eno in my favorite artist list

  6. Nice trip report. Its nice to see folks out on that route. I got the chance to do that climb back in the 80. Way to go!
  7. I figure you already have one and would be bummed if somebody tried to steal it.
  8. I thought the Canadian dollar coins were just fine. We have no reason not to switch. Once and a while those Canadians are on to something
  9. My gear is safe and waiting my return to climbing. Oly probably wouldn't know what to do with my stuff.
  10. Hey, I just wanted to make a post and let you know how I'm doing. I don't remember much of the accident. What I do remember is the whole process took forever. The important thing is I'm out of the hospital and I feel a lot better. I went back to the hospital last thursday and thats when they stuck my skull bone back together. I was out of the hospital on friday and since then I've been hanging out at home. The doctors tell me that the operation went well. While the surgery is done I've still got more to do. Right now the doctors want me to do a bunch of physical therapy. Basically I need to do a bunch of exercises to strengthen my legs and arms. Anyway while I've got more to do things are looking up. I'd love to get back to skiing and climbing. It will all happen eventually just not overnight. Thanks to everybody that came by the hospital and my house to visit me.
  11. I wish I could make it, but I'll hopefully be spending my last day in the hospital Have fun
  12. HaHa Dru. It's nice to see you get what you deserve
  13. The more important question is who hung a pigs head at Index. I hear the grease guys know the pig riggers
  14. You want to party in Bellevue Bellevue is a hellhole and no place for a party Why not head out to Index and hang out by the town store. I bet you'd meet a ton of folks who would love to party with you

It would have been cool to see the guy's technique
  17. I'm afraid I'm not feeling up to making the trip over. I hope you all have fun
  18. Fuck off Dru. This is a pretty big deal, Shigo was pretty important in the world of arborists. I like TPB, but try and show some respect.
  19. Alex Shigo dies. Not that that many of you would know him, but its kind of a big deal for arboriculture "Dr. Shigo’s work in Arbor Care and the development of the CODIT model have completely changed the industry. In his recent retirement, he had freely given of his time to students and educators to expand the knowledge of all of the participants. He will be missed by all who work in biology and arbor care."
  20. The wheels on the bus go round and round all over town

Old Donny boy is a funny old fart
  22. I don't have any names for you from PDX, but you can do a search for the PNW-ISA where you'll find a whole list of people. You'll have to narrow it down to Oregon, but you can find a whole list of people who could help you. I know of one huge company, General Tree, but you should hire a smaller local tree service.
  23. PS Muffy's cool
  24. Gary Trip reports always have been a mixed bag. Sometimes you'll get a route guide to your next climb, other times all you get is a report that says something like, "we're bad ass and we climbed this rad route route but you didn't because you suck. Your best bet is to take the whole thing with a grain of salt. In any case read a report that you want to and decide for yourself or just ignore the report because you hate the writer. Sometimes you'll get good information; other times you'll either get bullsit or a funny story.
  25. I'm not sure I really follow Pope. Lets say you're out climbing and you see a yummy sandwich on route. Why wouldn't you climb the route? It would be the smart thing to do if you forgot your lunch and especially if you were a broke student.
