I've run my own business for years. I started out doing one type of work, and when I started my own business it was doing the same thing I'd done for years. I got all my jobs through Networking/connections. Recently I've been forced to slightly change what I do for work. I'm not sure how it's going to work out, but I'm relying on the fact that I know a ton of people in my industry. To some degree we're competitors, but it doesn't do anybody any good to try and screw over friends.

Since i've been banned permanently from freshiez..

I'm just sorry it wasn't me that banned you from Freshiez. You do ask a good question. All my early experience with downhill or AT skiing was on leather boots. I suppose you might be able to find some old used leather boots, but finding some new more modern boots would be good. Both for your friend and little kids out there. -

I'd agree with Jason. I remember a few times down near Moab when we were camping and some jerks at the next campsite decided to play the bongos all night long. They weren't trying to push any, "Christian," agenda that I could make out, but they were driving us crazy just by blaring their noise all night and interrupting the silence of nature. -
I don't give a shit about the Blazers, so I'd forgotten that they'd won the finals once. Thanks for inspiring me to look it up, but basketball is stupid. If you want a real big league sport try football or baseball. I have gone to a couple Sonics games last year, but I mostly went there to watch the Sonics dancers or the kids doing funky hiphop stunts.

I'm just happy to see that this subject is now in the proper forum which is Spray not Climbing Partners. Please continue the entertainment. -
I haven't paid much attention to this thread. I've been interested in climbing since I was a little boy. At first it was just looking at pictures on the wall of all the cool stuff my dad had done. Both of my parents encouraged me to climb, but it didn't start out totally bad ass. The first big achievement I had as a kid was to hike up Granite Mountain on my own on the second try. After that I did a lot of backpacking with my parents every summer. Eventually my dad had me out on Das Tooth at about 12 years old; he even let me lead the catwalk pitch. There came a time when both parents told me that if I wanted to pursue the sport then I needed instruction from an outside more personally disinterested source. At the time the only real option was signing up with the Mounties basic class. I did that for a while, but eventually I got sick of climbing with a bunch of old farts (of course now I am one ) and I met High School kids my age that had the same interest. Since then I've done a lot of climbing. I've never hurt myself rock climbing, but I've come very close to death ice climbing, and I've been very lucky to be out of range of some major rockfall in the mountains. As my dad introduced me to climbing he told me that rock climbing was just training for the real thing which is mountaineering. Personally I feel like I've had a better life experience even though through climbing I've gotten myself in some fucked up situations.

Why on earth do you think any rational northerner would want to scuba dive I-5 just to come drink with Kev(been)boned.

Where were you Arch?
-
You could...if you drank a six pack of North American beer!

The question of where to go on Thursday evenings has never been open to debate. If somebody wants to have a Pub Club location brawl then the next one would be Tuesday December 18th and the following one would be Christmas day. Have fun arguing about that last one.

What's with this summer only? Move to La Grave France You'll need 12 months though. Most importantly for the skiing and ice climbing in the winter!!! Then you've got all summer for alpine rock climbing in the big national park there. La Grave If you get really board you're only a couple hours from the mediterranean.

I wish I could get hung over off booze.

And your issue with lefties is what? :battlecage: :battlecage: I would have to say as a tree guy that you'd be a fucking idiot to wear a watch or a ring and it doesn't matter if you're right handed or left handed.

I want one that says, "Ask me about the killer Feck Weed."

Having now met Latte in real life I can say she's an amazing cat. She sure has a lot to say at times.
-
And an air hockey table on which I can kick your ass. Merry fucking Christmas, buddy--your lemonade coupons are all mine! Yes, please please kick my ass I'm out of lemonade coupons, but I might share my coupons for North American Beer.
-
I should also point out there are pool tables at Dante's. Cheap beer + pool tables > pool tables

Pub club has always been a Tuesday night thing at wide variety of locations. The Thursday night party spot has been Dante's for a long long time. I know where I'm going Thursday.
-
Dante's is every Thursday.

Lake City is the promised land. Even right now what's not to love. Just pick a make of vehicle you want to buy; it's waiting for you on Lake City Way. We also have the finest strippers right here, and not just strippers lingerie models too. It's big right now just imagine the future with light rail.
-
Maybe we could get light rail from downtown Seattle to Index and Leavenworth. That way I could walk to the train station from my house...I mean they're obviously going to have a train stop at the Lake City Fred Meyers.

Smellmark skiing is the stupidest form of skiing known to man. All the first descents of what is now Crystal Mountain were done on AT gear. I prefer to stick with the classic Northwest form of skiing not some weird East Coast style.

It's been a long time since I flew with gear, so I'm no help with the current rules. My main reason for taking gear as carry on was so I could at least climb till the airline could forward my checked gear they misplaced.

That's the bridge near a campground is it not?
