    Halloween

I THINK IF YOU WENT AS THAT DUDE IN YOUR AVATAR IT WOULD BE FUNNY AS SHIT!!!!]]]]]]]]] Might scare the children. It doesn't take much work for that one. In fact I'm ready to go right now.

    Halloween

I'm not sure about a Halloween eve party, but I have plans for the 3rd. I just need to come up with a costume.
  4. No shit. Back a couple months ago he hired me as an, "employee," to do some siding work. He told me not to get hurt since I wouldn't be covered by L&I. Thank god I made it through that job.
  5. Tree work eh? If you're not a certified arborist or work under the supervision of one then you're a tree butcher. Good to here you've got other things going on. Take the elitist shit and cram it up your ass, Feck. BTW, It is spelled "hear" Yes my spelling sucks at times, but things could be worse; I could be a professional butt plunger like you.
  6. I've skied at Brundage on a great powder day. Too bad there aren't any pictures of the area you're talking about. I guess I should add my picture of the Meaney ski hill here. 25 mph on a gas engine.
  7. I can't help, but take pictures and post them.
  8. I've only got 5 chainsaws and one chipper left for power tools. They can run through money.

    Into the Wild

I'm not sure what to say about the movie. I liked the book though. Chris just didn't think things through, but I understand his motivation.

  11. My first time up the high speed lift at the Snoqualmie Mounties I think I was either 4 or 5 and my dad put me inbetween his legs and got me to the top. I've never checked out the Leavenworth lift.
  12. Not much of a video, and I've seen better pitcures posted on this website by real users.

    Go Sox

I'm going to laugh if the world series goes into November. Mr October won't be good enough.

    WTF?

Post and pier foundations are a good thing to do if you're looking to preserve nearby trees.
  15. I'm not sure about the market going that way. There are a lot of Japanese trees that are quite popular here; usually in the maple variety. Paulownias are here, but they aren't native to the NW. I would imagine the Japanese would look first to China or Vietnam before they would shop here.
  16. I believe I still have a rope tow gripper and thick leather mitts. You need those to things if ya wanna ride the real lift
  17. What I need money for is bc skiing #1 and climbing #2. When I started thinking about making money for my real interests I figured I should try and get a job as close to those interests without being a guide. My long time job has been that of an arborist which means pruning, removing, cabling, and planting trees; it also means you need to know stuff about tree biology etc. In addition it means you know how to do your job without fucking up customers property, or at least trying not to fuck shit up. After hurting myself on the job I now work as a consulting arborist. That means I evaluate trees for risk to people and property, I also appraise trees for their monetary value, and I advise folks about how new construction will effect their trees. I've had some time off, and I am now just beginning to make money again.
  18. I don't know what to say; back in the day Crystal used to be $13 for adults and Ski Acres was $7 bucks. Hyak had $2 night skiing. Of course there's been some inflation since then. I don't get too worked up about prices...that's the way things are trending. What steams me is naming of ski areas. It ain't Summit West, Summit Central, and Summit East It's the Summit, Ski Acres, and Hyak.... with the Snoqualmie Mountaineers lodge in the mix. The mounties lodge was the best ever; it was cheap and they had a real high speed rope tow They need more high speed rope tows everywhere. It teaches you respect for being taken to the top of the mountain.

  20. Washington will stay dem in the house and senate, but when you start thinking about all 50 states then things are different.
  21. Hillary vs McCain. McCain wins. Back a year ago I would have agreed with the Hillary/McCain match up. Today I'm inclined to agree with Hillary being the Dem candidate, but the Repubs seem pretty confused about what they're doing right now. I'd say the Dems get the white house, but the repubs maintain a lot of control in the house/senate.
  22. I remember thousands of times in the mountains when a partner and I would see a guided group. More often than not I would here somebody say: Fuck Another Guide or FAG for short. Take some classes, but real climbing is done with yourself and a partner you trust. If you're going to some foreign country then you may be required to have a liaison officer. A guide might help if you need to understand local politics, but past that I wouldn't use one.
  23. Tacoma is the city of destiny...or so I here.
  24. I've been riding the past few years on Shuksan 190s; they're great. I hear by modern standards that's long, but by my standards that's a lot shorter than my 207 Elans and a ton shorter than my dad's Head deep powder(215 or 220).
  25. Keep in mind that you can't just have a goat, you need a goat herder too.
