So you get a hard on when you use the term
Let me assure you that love or hate trees if you're working with them you will need to hug them. I've hugged plenty of trees that I proceed to kill.
I'd advise picking a new term to denigrate your internet rivals.
I'd agree that all the big elections these days come down to short term monetary gain.
My dad grew up in the depression. Back then and through WW 2 everybody got gas coupons for fuel. If you ran through your coupons then you were walking till you got the next batch of coupons given to you. Those rules made you think long and hard about when you actually need to drive.
Those kinds of rules would never get enacted these days, but they were put in place back then to preserve resources that were in short supply and needed for something that citizens agreed was in our national interest.
It's not harder it's just longer. You stay on the buttress from the valley. The reason it's better is you do the whole climb. Afterwards you can say you really climbed the route not some wimpy cutoff version.
There are some cool cracks down low with trees growing out of them. They're like climbing a jungle gym. After that there's a long slab to solo.
I know one woman who had breast reduction surgery. She had big boobs, but as a consequence she had a sore back and a hard time doing stuff like hiking or running. The surgery cured the problems she was having and she looks fine now.
Plastic surgery to cure the effects of breast cancer surgery is totally understandable.
I don't know about the woman in this photo though. It seems like surgery so you can join the freak show. I guess that's ok if that's what you really want to do.
In the future leave your dog at home or devote you time outdoors to time spent with your buddy. I'm sure part of the problem was the dog felt abandoned at the base of the crag while he could see you having fun.
Past experience may have lead you to believe that there wasn't a problem, but now you know there is.
I bet Rudy would have this talk with you in person too.
Now where would the NW be without Tacoma. At the heart of Tacoma sits.

I need a big macho pickup for work. If I could afford 2 vehicles I'd have some silly little high mpg vehicle too. You can't trailer a chipper or air compressor with one of those though.
The bus is good around town transportation, which helps. It would be great if their were a better rail system around town.
What would totally rock is a train from Seattle to Pemberton.
