  1. Sorry, been a busy stretch at work.....Back to the task at hand, the Spearhead!
  2. What??!! You climbed Forbidden, then Stuart, then Sherpa- back to back to back weekends??!! Amazing! Well done!!
  3. Nice work! I've always wondered about that one.....sounds like it is tough to nail in fun ski conditions. You would know how best to hit it, so this is good advice!
  4. I just want to chime in again to remark how RAD this ascent was. Wild!
  5. WELL DONE! Such an epic adventure, thank you so much for detailing it all here!!! And.....a lecture immediately after??!! You, sir, are a machine.
  6. So many possibilities:
  7. A touching message @Cara Ashworth, I am very sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. Mark sounded like a great man and I can certainly identify with what drove him to seek freedom in the hills. I think this is probably the best location for your notice and I hope that some friends of your dad will see it and get in touch with their memories of him. Please take care and hang in there.
  8. If it gets La Nina fat later this season, is anyone going for a ski of West Mac?
  9. Smokey sunset below Primus/Tricouni:
  10. I still need to go back for Tasman!!
  11. I don't get tired of looking at the Eldorado group, especially from the north. This view is from Ragged Ridge:
  12. Speaking of Primus....here is a photo of it from an unusual vantage (Teebone ridge):
  13. oops, sorry @lunger! Yes, on the way to both of those peaks. Such a cool area!
  14. oh man @SeanO, that sounds miserable! I can attest to the nastiness of that brush around the lake. I remember it quite well from our S. Hozomeen trip! BTW, Tim in the TR above is @therunningdog who you ran into with me on Forbidden last summer....
  15. I meant that we didn't see anyone on the off trail portion of our trip, sounds the same for you. So great!
  16. A bit higher on the ridge from the last photo I posted. Can you guess the summit?
  17. oh, and did you see anyone? We didn't for 7 days and that alone was so great! But really, hats off to you guys for embarking on a trip with TWO major unknowns. That alone is pretty unusual. Way to commit!!
  18. You know, the funny thing is I don't think I have a photo looking this way from Jasper Pass. D'oh! I guess we were so fixated on looking ahead to figure out our way around Pioneer Ridge. Thanks for the photo, I am not sure if I will make it back to look south.
  19. Oh yes!! The long awaited TR, thanks for sharing! I can imagine that Crowder was unpleasant, I do not think you missed the obvious solid line. That is probably the most scenic part of a very scenic range. Definitely one of the harder traverses to pull off as well. I remember being quite tired each day. I will have to look how you exited via Thorton....that is an interesting variation.
  20. @Dru was right. OK, carry on.
  21. And, I can also recommend Hozomeen Lake for a view up towards @SeanO in that photo!
  22. I believe that is for @SeanO, @Phil K, but my photo is from a lesser known vantage on the other side of the valley....worth a visit!
  23. Has anyone been to the area where this is taken from? Hint, the trail is in Canada, but you come into the US for the best views.
  24. Mount Jefferson and Jefferson Park, pre-fire. Anybody seen it since?
  25. You probably know the feeling.... @therunningdog starting up into the uncertainty on the north ridge of Blum:
