My doc did give me a scrip for PT. His advice was to avoid impact activities (running and hiking) and that before and after any other activities add some IT band specific stretches to my routine. If it doesn't seem to get better in the next 2 - 3 weeks, then PT would be advisable. I based on yours and Rob's input I may go earlier to see if there is a biomechanical issue causing it. My guess was that I had been running 20 + miles a week for a while, backed off and then started up again. My chirpractor recommended the foam roller and my gym at work has a couple. Your description is spot on, it is a nasty hurt! Doc says 2-3 weeks before I may start running or hiking, though I will probably do my traditional Mt. Si hike on Turkey day. Thanks for the input!

Anyone here had any IT Band inflammation/irritation issues? I've been having problems for a couple of months now, finally saw my orthapedic guy yesterday and he verified diagnosis. What I'm interested in is how long this kept people from intense activities. Also, any tips or tricks for faster healing. I'm thinking I won't be running for at least a couple of weeks, probably won't be doing any hiking either.

"Plaintiffs were mocked, jeered and called 'sluts' and 'whores' and subject to harassment, humiliation and embarrassment." What's the old saying....The difference between a slut (or whore) and a bitch? THe slut/whore will put out for anyone; the bitch will put out for anyone but you.

The real issue is what is Obama's description of himself.\? If some Government agency or other organization says you must be X percent of Y to claim yourself as being Y does that invalidate the individuals claim? I can tell you from personal experience that as someone who is 1/8th of an ethnic group I have been able to take advantage of a couple of things exclusive to that group. No one can tell me that I can not claim myself as part of that group even if I don't look it. Further, I am the adoptive parent of a bi-racial child. It has been an enlightening expreience raising her. Her birth mother is caucasian, her birth father is black. So far she hasn't had any social adjustment issues; she seems to get along well with all. If the time ever comes for her to make a declaration as to what she is, she will be free to claim whatever it is she wants. Her being half of anything won't mean anything.

If you ever see a skinhead wearing a pair of Levi Jeans, it may be appropriate to point out that Levi Strauss was a Jewish Immigrant to the U.S. It may be appropriate to also note that appears that the Jew has the Nazi by the balls.

I believe that the notion of pulling the plug on Iraq is a pipe dream. Though I don't think the notion of a plan to withdraw at the right time (and not when our oil supply is assured) is the definition of pulling the plug. We're there and we have to figure out a way to move on. Moving towards something is progress. I don't believe we've had a good definition of exit criteria (one that stipulated autonomous rule for the Iraqis) nor had we really appeared to be working towards one.

Yes, it does. It says if you are positioned 10 feet left of center, 2 inches right of center is a huge leap. Especially if you consider your 10 feet left of center to be the true center.

If you are positioned 10 feet to the right of center, 2 inches left of center is a huge leap. Especially if you consider your 10 feet right of center to be the true center. What I'm most hopeful of is a move back towards a united nation and less of the split thats been so prevalent that last few years.

Someone asked him about how he was going to choose the new dog. He said something to the effect of "I'm not going to do a Nancy Reagan and have a seance" or something of that ilk. Two things come to mind 1) At least he could fucking articulate the word "Seance". 2) Please explain how that was disrespectful. Would it give you a warm and fuzzy if he orchestrated the occupation of a middle east country? Come here fairwever, wet me give you some hugs!! :kisss:

Funny, I thought Ann Coulter was trying to put her cock up Jon Stewart's ass while Stephen Colbert watched.

I gotta go with Bug on this. Just because Shapiro and Coulter write it does not make it the honest to God truth. It is merely an opinion and they are welcome to it. They were never fans of McCain and as I've stated before I'm sure that McCain sold his independent soul to the GOP for the nomination. My opinion is that these articles and listening to Sean Hannity last night are nothing more than rhetoric from the right wing trying to minimize the accomplishment made by Barack Obama and the Democratic Party. Hell, the closest thing to the truth for me is that the Republicans have so utterly fucked up in the last eight years almost anyone other than a Republican could have won the WHite House and all of those seats this time around. Will the Obama administration be perfect? Hell no. Will I voice my opinion when they do something that I don't agree with? Hell yes. Do I expect that they will undo everything done wrong? No. Do I think that the same fundamental policies of the last eight years would have got us out of where we are now? No. Do I think a McCain/Palin Administration would have been any different than the Bush/Cheney administration? Hell no. So we've got what we've got. Lets work to make it work until its apparent it won't and then work harder at it.
