You are probably one of those guys who wouldn't humble themselves to go on a nice, simple hike and enjoy the great outdoors and write a nice trip report about it. It's not "cool" or "extreme" enough for you I guess. Well, I'm not above posting a trip report (or a few hundred) about hiking even though I'm plenty qualified to rope up with most of the people on this website. I lead Mountaineers outings. Do you? I didn't think so. Humility isn't my strong point, but enough about me. You're saying that when a mountaineer wants to "come out" you lead them out of the closet? True story. Climbing partner walks (newb)into white river ranger station looking for a garbage bag to line his pack. He asks the ranger if she had any plastic bags. She pulls a blue bag out of a box behind the desk. He responds "Oh, that's not big enough". The look of horror on her face was almost as priceless as the look on his face when he realized what the blue bag was for.

I had an MRI today which shows some tearing in the lateral meniscus. Doc says let pain and discomfort be my guide to surgery. I would like to put that off as long as possible. So I was wondering, anyone have experience with PT for this type of injury such that it alleviates the symptoms (tightness in the joint, mild pain and swelling - post exercise)? Pisses me off, I can run w/o pain, unlike the medial meniscus tears I've had, but after wards is when it irritates the shit outta me!

Reviews I've read point to the TDI being superior in performance, but give the edge to the Prius in reliability. I think VW has worked on their quality issues from the early part of the decade, but nothing is as reliable as a toyota. From a comfort and ruggedness standpoint I'd go with the TDI.
