  1. Sounds like jealousy from a parade watcher to me Gene. I do think you maybe correct however. Thanks Dannible - If you were at the top of upper 8 mile buttress (stump route), would the cave be up and to climbers right? I know I have been to cave in that direction but we always called it the wind cave. Could be the same one?
  2. Was looking to do a little goat sacrifice this past weekend and after guiding a couple of foreign blokes up the Eight Mile Buttress and sending them off toward Memorial Buttress I looked for the Crystal Cave shown in Viktors new book. I did not find it.......anyone been there? Pointers on locating it?
  3. "Dallas" in honor of Mr. Kloke-
  4. good advice.
  5. Interested in seeing your tick list for over yonder Gene.
  6. Rime Images Look at the link.
  7. From the looks of it, the sales associate didn't bother to ask the locals where they were planning to use that case of chisels he sold them! Nice one Curt. I was searching for one as I knew it was there but alas your quick wit and smarts beat me to it.
  8. Bitter,old hater! Have a heart man.
  9. Choada - If you have insurance or the ability to see a doctor I recommend it. I screwed my knee up in January and it ended up being a sprained MCL and a strained PCL. Symptoms pretty similar to what you are describing. It only took some physical therapy and I am close to 90% of my former self. My buddy did the same thing same day and did no physical therapy or anything and is still in a brace and complaining. Don't let it go and cause furhter injury or allow it to reduce your activities/quality of life. Just my 2 cents. Best of luck!

    F'ing ticks! I hate f'ing ticks!
  13. it IS nice to see seeds now n' again and remember the old days... Oh yeah. Nothing like busting up a block of seed-filled Mexican brick weed with a pair of pliers and trying to burn it with a blow torch as it smokes and tastes like the tire it came across the border in. Those were the good old days...
  14. I have always wanted to go to Chumstick! Right on! If you are ever escaping again please let me tag along!

  16. I am hoping it is "dry enough". Although I am thinking it will probably rain while I am on it.
  17. Killer pics man!
  18. Best of luck to you. I got lucky having only two small tears in my MCL and a bad strain of the PCL and avoiding surgery. I am in PT now 2 months after doing the damage and getting a lot better. I can actulally walk without a limp and minimal pain. I feel for you because even my slight bit of damage was both painful and frustrating. Again best of luck and here is to a speedy recovery! Tyson
  19. Man that is a great TR! The photos are awesome and I gotta say it reads real nice. Thanks for sharing that and causing me to recall my own enthusiasm for adventure when "Climbing was still very new to me, and I was fascinated with the idea of discovery, undeterred by lichen and dirt." great line totally captures it!
  20. Of course shotcrete is what you get from jacking off giant blocks!

I am sure it will rear its ugly head in the rest of the forums now even more so than in the past.
