I agree, but I feel shamed at being so easily baited and agitated by them. It seems I also have many lessons to learn. -

Well shit. Now I will have to cry myself to sleep tonight because you don't think I am right. When your other ball drops maybe, just maybe you will start to comprehend. -

I have no "problem" with videos of FA's. I never said I did. I do not even have a problem with you personally or in particular. What I do have an issue with is unedited videos that are basically 9 minutes of "paint drying". Then again I do not have to watch them. I made the choice to watch part of this one. I regret that. I should just not respond to this BS because all I am doing is wasting my energy on ignorance, but what the hell I am bored. It is not so much the climbs you are posting about. It is everything after. You are putting these things out there in a manner that makes it look like you think you are doing some hardcore shit. You are not. You get defensive about any questions people ask you. You act as though you are some kind of authority on the subject of climbing. You are not. You talk down to people in a condescending manner that is sure to only get you more shit flipped your way and then you whine about people being unkind or not cool enough to understand or rad enough to repeat your climbs. You are probably somewhat of a cool guy but man it is not coming across that way. Okay teach us a lesson and keep all your new sweet spots to yourself and when they show up in the mags and everyone is raving about them and projecting them like crazy we can all kick ourselves and say "we should have cut that guy some slack." I have never claimed to be an awesome climber or even a very innovative one and I am sure that your climbing career will be much more heralded than that of this old man but I have built some quality friendships over the last 20 years and even managed to keep them. I would be interested to see if the same holds true for yourself. If I remember correctly someone in a previous thread under your former avatar gave you some good advice and that was that no one in this game really makes it on their own. Give it some thought. Now you can start hating on me and throwing out the negative slurs and perhaps this board may be blessed with a new and enlightened reincarnation of Summitchaser/isolationedsnow.....or.....?????? And by the way, go ahead and say it..... I am right. -

Keep going, your on your way to Pooh Bah status again and making just as many friends as last time. Your psych for climbing is great! It makes me want to like you and the stuff you are doing but the attitude and your continous stream of self aggrandizing BS is about to make me freaking puke. Fer Christ Sake - figure it out -
That is BS! If IsolationedSnow (Summitchaser) doesn't want to read your posts or answer questions then he does not have to, but I know there are plenty of people here who have and are willing to help. You have been gracious enough to give back by being willing to support the Mountain Rescue Calendar cause and you have always been appreciative and unobnoxious in your requests for information. The same can not be said for IsolationedSnow in either regard. Keep asking questions at will and do not apologize for doing so. Just my unsolicited opinion. Tyson

You know, I just wanted to take a minute to give those of you have jumped on board to pitch in for this cause a thank you from me personally (as much as the internet allows). So, "Thank you!" It is nice to see more positive things happening around CC.com. I believe it is actions like these that make up one part of the many positive things this board can and should be.

Hello Folks! For those looking for a Holiday gift as well as a way to support a good cause, please consider buying a 2011 Bellingham Mountain Rescue calendar. The calendars are a limited edition and feature photos taken in and around Whatcom County by local photographers. The proceeds directly support the efforts of the all volunteer Bellingham Mountain Rescue by providing us with funds for new equipment and training materials. The Calendars are being sold at various retail outlets around Bellingham including but not limited to Whatcom Educational Credit Union and Backcountry Essentials. How much for these stunningly beautiful calendars you ask? Well, a mere $12.00 will secure you a calendar! Now that is a deal you can feel good about! If you are interested in getting one or more of theses fine specimens for yourself or as a gift you can PM me and I will be glad to ship your order to you (at your expense) and you can pay via PayPal. I will post a link a little later this evening to a low resolution sample of the calendar for your perusing delight, but take my word for it the photos are nice and the calendar quality is there. Questions? Let me know. Thank you, Tyson geBauer - BMRC

Argument in favor of permanet trail/climb markers

It is about time! -
absolutely..it (climbing, making videos, etc.) are about nothing when it is all said and done. So why take any of it so seriously? The comments, the video, the back and forth about bolting ethics in other threads, the Raindawgs, the Josephs the Summitchasers the Josh Lewis's, the Tysong's it is all a big excercise in gumflap jaw-knifing. I fell into it when I first found this site. I posted some TR's, I got some compliments from people I had heard about and thought were cool. I started typing alot before thinking about what I was posting. I ended up spraying shit about a friend (in a non intentional way) and I ended up pissing some people off. I hid behind a fake user name and thought I was pretty cool. I ended up abandoning that profile and switched to my real name. I started just kind of lurking the site and resisting the urge to just post up whatever hit my brain before the self censor chip kicked in. I regretfully broke that good streak tonight and did so in someones TR. I envy those with more self control than I. I apologize Summit and I am in no way trying to "humble" you. Like Gene said it is all about nothing so I will reserve my comments and consider this fact before criticizing or posting again. Cheers and keep climbing, Tyson

Nah, don't stop. Steves right we don't have to watch them. Maybe I am pissed (not really pissed, just shit flipping) because you have bigger nuts than I do. I make videos of climbs. It is fun. I share them with friends.Maybe I just don't want the exposure of throwing them out there. I don't know, your are the psych graduate, help me out. I am out getting what I can when I can, as a somewhat new father that is less than it has been in the past, but I am getting some. I manage almost every other weekend. I have just kind of stopped spraying about it so much. Maybe I am just getting old and my ego is starting to simmer down. Maybe I am finding some humility in life and starting to listen and watch instead of puff up and strut. Someone on here has a great signature line it goes something like "it is hard to learn(listen?) while you are talking" or something along those lines. Yet hear I am typing more on this site than I have in months. Anyway, keep posting your videos with the understanding that yeah, you are probably going to get shit. Yeah people don't have to watch them. And yeah you don't HAVE to post them. No hard feelings Summit, just roll with it.
