  1. My last three trips to the Revolver/Silent running area, There were other parties on all routes and one waiting for the crew on SR to get up a ways so they could follow. In my experience in the Darrington area that is a veritable traffic jam.
  2. I like the way Matt and Gene are thinking!
  3. Rockets are aid!
  4. A little more work to get to the routes means alot more solitude. This could be a good thing for the 3 o'clock area.
  5. Dude....thanks, now I get it. Since when are "discussions" two camps hollering "yes" and "no" back and forth non stop? Seems more like on online two sided rant to me. I have not stated my position on either side of this "discussion" so why do you feel it necessary to preach your gospel to me? Do you feel you need to convert me? If so from what position as I have already said it is unstated. "the ski area might be out of your control, but you do have control over your own actions, small and large, and leaving your garbage on the crags, or creating new permanent trails, is your choice." So it appears that you are saying it is "my choice". But is that to mean that it is my choice as long as I want to listen to your opinion? Which is it sir, my moral and ethical duty to live by your standard or is it really "my choice"? cheers Guv'na!
  6. x2 So...I guess that absolves everybody from responsibility for their own personal choices and actions, right here on earth, eh? Dawg - humor is not lost on me regardless of how I feel about this issue. Choada boys comment made me laugh. Thanks Choada. Nowhere did I say or imply that this absolved anyone of anything. Carry on then and I say to you "good day sir". and oh yeah

  8. I'll take it! Paypal?
  9. Wow! Looks like some work parties are going to be in order in a big way come spring huh? We should have a bash and get some of the Darrington regulars together. On a side note, heard you were @ Index on Saturday. Smedley and I were on City Park confirming the fact that we are indeed the slowest and most pathetic aid climbers in history.
  10. Supplements are meant to supplement a good diet. Junk food and supplements is no better than just junk food. Dang it! There goes my training theory and explains my middle aged dad gut!
  11. Mitochondria100 - "I am still waiting to see how many of you will have guts to have led what Veronika tried her best on and hoping that may be, just may be once in a while you will do your best to refrain from nitpicking and negativism." Word! Way to get after y'all I say good on ya!
  12. Yeah congrats!
  13. For those of you interested: Fulcrum Climbing Please spread the word to everyone interested in having a climbing gym here in Bellingham that that it is important they visit and 'like' this page. I very much need your help to overcome the skepticism that the Bellingham community wont support a dedicated climbing facility. There is a Facebook page for those of you connected. Fulcrum Climbing Please show your support!
  14. Gene - Right above Twin Lakes off of 542. It is a worthy Winter objective and offers some great skiing as well as some nice rock/snow/ice scrambling. Hard to beat the views toward the Border peaks from there although the snowmobile traffic can be a little much on the road up to the lakes.
  15. Wow, Those are some great shots! That is a great place in the Winter.
  16. Ditto!
  17. I have a three day weekend coming up and am looking to do something. Alpine - Ice - Whatever. I have experience and contrary to some of my posts on here I am a pretty laid back easy to get along with guy. I am interested in getting out with someone who is motivated, experienced and not afraid of hard fun and adventure type climbs/excursions. I am open to suggestions as far as objectives go and I have gear for anything from cragging to BC Skiing. Willing to drive a ways. If you have the time and need a partner give me a holler!
  18. I was listening to Cliff Mass today and the word is we should start seeing some real cold this coming week.
  19. Highly advisable - We were stopped 50 yards up the Sibley creek road about a month ago by a tree. Walked the rest of the road only to find one other tree about 1/4 mile from the trailhead. It would have been REAL nice to have a saw......real nice.....
  20. I vote this the best TR of the New Years weekend! Great photos Brian and way to suffer through gents!
  21. Yes they are. Thanks Kimmo.
