That is awesome, but 2 pounds! Yikes! I think the idea is one of the coolest things I have ever seen though.

It will function as: 1)A regular length runner (both end clipped together) 2)A double length runner (one biner on each end) 3)A girth hitched runner on alpine routes (think shrub or tree etc) where there is a loop that will allow the biner end to be run through it and viola girth hitched and nice and extended 4)It can also be doubled up to make a draw if necessary One of my favorite aspects is that when around the neck you can just unclip the biner from one loop, pull the biner and the sling slides off of your neck. Not over the head and it does not matter what side you had slung them over.

I am a huge fan of the mountain runners in alpine climbing. Extremely versatile and damn handy. Really easy to remove from around the neck (gear sling style) while climbing and no worries about which hand is free when trying to get one from around your neck, unlike sewn runners. I just wanted to plug for a good friend the fact that he has these available on ebay at a damn good price. Search for "rabbit runners" and you will get there. These are local made and I have been using this same brand for over 15 years, I highly recommend them and supporting a local company. There is more than that available from the same seller: Pins, Ice screws etc. Check em out! Hugh have you tried walking into a room with black guys and saying, "I need one of you niggers to help me?" If not what kind of response do you think you would get? Language can be tricky even if you think you're saying something in jest. I like the band Niggers With Attitude for a number of reasons. Recognizing songs from the LPs they mix is one reason. The lyrics are interesting too. Some of the lyrics include the, "N word." That still doesn't make it right or a good idea for me to talk like that.

I would second that,it is a little long but definitely worth the watch. If you get bored it is always fun to poke fun at the Huberbrau anyway.

Prime rib is definitely a fun route. I would venture to say that I felt there was only one 5.9 move on the whole route. I have heard you can drop a bike off on a road near the top and save yourself the raps, which sounds like it would be fun.

Well, that's another poor generalization. You still have pretty limited experience in climbing to be making either of these generalizations. In this case, your numbered explanations serve your case far better than your attempts to generalize. I would have to agree with Joseph's comment. And that your personal reasons are the best reasons because they are your preference.
