  2. WOW. I am sure glad you two made up!!!
  3. Maybe we can get Bill Coe and Steve timetrvler. I will go for it as long as I can put on 3 of those Tyvke suits. I think Rick and a few others would go for it. There are some killer cracks that I would like to climb there.
  4. Nothing is in. Checked thourghly yesterday
  5. Jim O. says to bring a tarp to block the wind for the belayer. I was going to go out today but it was supposed to be 32 degrees wind a wind gusting to 50 mph. Down graded to 48 mph gusts with sustained winds of 31 to 34. I set my alarm for 5 am but trying to figure out the wind chill factor after turning off my alarm was to much work and I passed out again. Wind Chill would be would make it feel between 12 and 14 degrees. Aiding I am not sure I could move fast enough to stay warm. Especially considering how slow I solo lead aid.
  6. Finished reading Savage Arena and On Edge (the Henry Barber story) and am finishing Nanda Devi by John Roskelley. I have Jim Bridwell's book to finish too. They are all great reads. I am really liking reading the list. Thanks for all the suggestions. I will try to put together the whole list. Someday we can try to whittle it down to 100 books.
  7. I got the worst case of poison oak I have had since I was a kid after climbing there. The rock was awesome, but I hate itching.
  8. I think I would. Thanks Bill!

  18. I did the West Chimney and stemmed all the way up just out of the dirt in the bottom. Tried to stay high. Then at the end of the slot on the south end tried to lead straight up. I rescued my gear I left up there when I had to bail. It took me two year to get back up there. The approach is much better in the winter.
  19. Stone Soup is open all year. The South side is all they close.

  21. Because I can. Clean aid is awesome, and it is not a straight forward C1 line. I guess I am not a Masteraider like you. I don't lead 5.10b free. Go for that lead if you want, it looks really thin to me. I was looking at it real close. I have to practice somewhere and Jim Opdycke told me it was a good one for that. I did the first part in a full on rainstorm and Tuesday it was blowing about 30 mph. Great weather for aid. Merry Christmas!
  22. They might as well be WalMart

  24. No I will just go up halfway and bail. I like to savor my pain and suffering.
  25. Going to finish what I started. Trying to get Flying Dutchman done. Headed out there with stevetimtrvler. Little wind. It will be cold, but what better to aid climb in. I like it cold.
