I have to work on Saturday. I was thinking of Ozone on Sunday for the sake of getting a bunch of climbs done there.
-
There were 30 Basic cams in total. 6 green, 4 green/yellow offset, 12 yellow, 2 yellow/red offset, 6 red
-
I did sign the slip and they re-delivered the package. Then it was stolen. I filed a police report. The police may have a lead.

From "scotch petershun" - Got #57 today. Free For All direct start and Dod's Jam, with Tim Wilson leading. Stellar day at Beacon. Jim O. was there shouting up beta and slander. Good fun for all.
-
Got two spires yesterday with Silverman. Now the count is at 56 climbs done out of 100. Now on day 48 I am headed to Beacon. http://blog.oregonlive.com/climbing/2011/11/100_days_100_miles_100_climbs_24.html

Wait, it was their mistake, but they're unwilling to replace them? Who did you order them from, so I can avoid doing business? Sorry, man! I am not out any cash. I do the shipping FOR Totem in the U.S. It is just inconvenient as I have orders to fill and the loss to the company hurts. Totem is a good company and you don't have to worry about customer service with them.

I have been doing the shipping for Totem Cams and they sent me a shipment of the new Basic Cams( they are similar to the old Aliens by CCH). They were left on my porch by DHL and low and behold they are gone. All I am asking is for folks to keep and eye out for someone selling these as they are fairly new to the market and only available to purchase online they are not easily obtained. UNLESS YOU STEAL A WHOLE SHIPMENT OF THEM!!!!! Damn it I am pissed! No insurance by shipper, their mistake. I will file a police report. The cams are from green size to red with an offset green/yellow and a yellow/red Crap! Just in time for Christmas. Plaidman

You are a bad ass for sure. I wasn't going to say it. But look what you can do! Justin started it.
-
I blew the onsight. Damn it!!! But seriously I may be crazy but I am not stupid. I don't think I could do that if I was roped up and had aiders, pulled on gear and generally just cheated. That looks REALLY hard!
-
Funny. VERY funny. But look what I can do!

have some honor and call it what it was - an attempt. No I am fairly sure it was climbing. So it counts. And I am the one doing the counting.

Steve and I got soaked on Friday racing Kenny and Kelvin to get on Young Warriors. They tried to cut us off at the pass. We got there first though. Got to the top of the third pitch and bailed onto The Corner. Then up to Grassy Ledges to the Jill's Thrill rap. WET I SAY! WET. Still counts as the parameters I set out on this challenge was 100 climbs of varying length. We cut it short because of the rain but the climb was not short on adventure.

Sorry made it a short day. Still recovering from THE DOME. Headed back to go do the Little St. Peter's Dome on Saturday.
-
To Beacon today. Wha Hooo. Solid rock!!!!
-
Walk off. It is a bit of a scramble up to the right through the notch. The first time I roped up for it. It is a bit airy. Then walk off toward The Monkeyface and the trail.

St. Peter's Dome Climbed by Plaidman and Cold One
Plaidman replied to Plaidman's topic in Columbia River Gorge
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I think it was more luck than skill getting to the top. Very loose and big chunks of rock ready to take you out. I was careful but I think I may have really hung it out there on that one. -
St. Peter's Dome Climbed by Plaidman and Cold One

It didn't seem to have much wild life even low in the cave. We saw rat turds but no rats. Thank God. Not like in the cave on The Monkey Face at Smith. Rats..... I a woke with Rats crawling on me. I was screaming Rats Rats Rats from inside my zipped up bivy sack. Yuk. Here is a link to the summit video: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=2285424850055 -
Short TR: We made it to the top of St. Peter's Dome on Oct. 24th 2011. I ended up not going far enough left to find the tree and the 5.8 chimney on the 56 foot rock band. I saw a bent pin and went straight up there. Jeff Thomas thinks it is a new line on the 56 foot band of rock ( the pitch in total is 100ft. to the tree). I am going to call it Plaidman's Fally. Because I was off route and because I had a 20 foot head first fall on the pitch. A bird beak Cassin Iron Hawk piton held the fall. My line is not suggested. This is a climb in my 100 Days, 100 Miles, 100 Climbs in The Columbia River Gorge. I picked the hardest climb to do first and it was all that. NICE JOB!!!!! -
It's above the 2 pins in the 5.10 crack. There is a ledge above the pins and I built the belay there instead of below the pins. From the ledge step left into the 5.7 crack.
-
I think this is the 5.7 hand crack that LostCAMkenny has been cleaning. This route has some of the best cracks.
-
I gotta get back on that route. Thanks Steve for the awesome pics.
