Stuck? I love hanging out with my son. Yeah, stuck at home. I love my kids but get a bit couped up, especially during nap time when I can't go outside but for a few minutes before I need to come back in and make sure they are still napping. We did have a great hike up Beacon this morning and a nice pic-a-nic lunch on top. we do that routine at least once or twice a week. They also love to go play on the docks down at the boat launch. Sure wish I could get a few pitches in now that it's nap time though. Guess I'll go shovel dog shit instead so I can get the lawn mowed later today. Maybe even do some work, on second thought, it's way to nice outside to work from my computer. Dave, you are a good man for taking on this responsibility considering in general men are not wired to stay at home with the kiddies. Just my two pennies* they are if the women of the house are the bread winners. She actually wins the benefits more than the bread but it's all good.

Serously, it is the Drip Buttress in Blodget canyon. The chimney to the right of the screen is the Syphlitic Slit 5.9. There is a nice 4 pitch 5.9 route immediately right of that. It does look a bit chossy but very enticing none the less. I'd be kind of worried about catching syphilis though. Don't forget your protection. What is the approach like?

That's pretty cool!

I'd love to but will be stuck at home with the wee ones. Maybe my 2 year old can give a belay?

You can tell if it's Ivan's gear cause it has everyone else's marks on it.

Wow, he has always been a hero of mine. I am excited to see what happens in Ogden. I have heard they are really pushing to make it a climber's destination. Ogden also happens to be my home town.

light cardio and no jokes... laughter is not the best medicine for broken ribs.

The suspense is kil'n me... the top 3 worst were?

I always heard that vaporizers are the cleanest and easiest on your lungs. I've also heard most of the carcinogens come from the nasty butane that is inhaled when using a bowl. Of course you have all that paper with the joints. Hard to do in the PNW during mid winter but focusing a magnifying glass in the sun acts like a vaporizer and is really clean. That's they way I used to prefer my loads, when feasible. Careful not to burn yourself though!

Don't smash your sushi rice! Cool it quickly with a fan and use a gentle cutting motion to stir in the Su (rice vinegar mixture). This will give the rice the correct texture, adhesive propeties and nice glossy sheen. Always offer your sushi chef a beer! Never eat raw salmon as it can have parasites. All sushi grade salmon has been cured with salt.

You might also try drilling a hold just big enough for the skin hook. This may be less structurally damaging than a notch. Never tried it though. Curious to know what you end up doing as I am looking at buying a pair of twin tip skis and will have the same issue.

Personally, I gave up the sacred herb some time ago but certainly won't bash those that do partake. It is far less dangerous than our beloved alcohol. People don't get violent and/or crash cars (for the most part anyway) when they smoke pot. Not to say that regular smoking is going to do any good to your lungs, heart and brain cells. Took me a while to "clear the fog" after quitting but I still don't feel that much "clearer" in the head. Just a former stoner's 2 cents.

Goats prefer spliffs. (Disclmer: Photo has been altered to protect the innocent. No goats were harmed in the making of this photo.)

You suppose to wash them? A wise man once taught me the most important rule of thumb about underwear... You can wear them as long as you want without washing them but once you take em off, they should never go back on.

I agree and you have me convinced to splurge on the Mammut. Thanks!

How does the rope handle? Any problems with tangling? I'm looking to upgrade to a nice beefy 70m too. I really like Mammut but they are so pricey.

I know a guy in Girdwood who is an RN and is way strong on just about anything. I will see if he's into meeting a random partner. If he is, I will PM his info to you. That is, if your interested?

Ain't dat whiy god gived us spell chekker?

Rock climbing or mountaineering? There is a bit of rock climbing right out of Girdwood off the main highway but nothing that I remember would be worth extending your trip (IMHO). Unless your really into mediocre sport climbs. If you are looking to bag some peaks then you might just want to stay till winter sets in.

Wayne's World, excellent, party time... soup of the day is come of some young boy.

Looks like fun! Thanks.

Gee, I hope it doesn't also work in reverse, they might find my poached cd's when they come after me for those murder charges. Then I'd be in real trouble.
