Nice. I was checking out your website. Very cool to see you have done many of the same trips/peaks I did back in the day... Scott's Peak, Panorama... I worked at the lodge you stayed at in Kantishna - Denali Backcountry Lodge (hence my cc.com name). I spent 8 summers working for them, even met my wife there. Sure brings back some great memories. Thanks for sharing.

I've never bothered doing it, but I've seen some folks who, after cleaning up the skis at the end of the season, then coat the entire bottom & edges with a thick coat of wax and leave them that way till the next season. Supposed to protect the metal, seems to make sense, as it would let less oxygen from rusting the metal.

It is likely a tool they use to asses the overall risk employees pose. Kind of like when they check your credit report. Your credit report has nothing to do with your job but it gives the company insight of the person they are considering. I guess I should just STFU though cause I don't really know for sure, just a hunch.

I can wear a garbage bag liner in the rain and not have to spend $400-$600 on a fancy schmancy gortex coat. I just bring a cheap roll of duct tape to repair it when it gets torn. Then, I sleep in it so I don't have to spend $20 on a tent at WalMart, or carry all that extra weight either. Best of all, I can usually get free garbage liners at any gas station or deli. I just dump the contents of the bag right into the dumpster and, viola, I'm all set for my next outdoor adventure. I like to get a couple extra, just in case.

Maybe if you fed that avitar it would stop making me ill?

Is that why most of the forum topics are climbing related? I don't see a specific forum for the lamest-est-es rock and roll topic but maybe I missed it while I was searching for climbing related topics here at cascadeclimbers.com website.

My point is that poeple who climb, probably, in most cases, come to a climbing web site because that is the type of content they are seeking. If they were looking to see who thinks who is the lamest gee-tar player, they would likely go to a music type web site. I guess that makes YOU WRONG too. But most folks here are used to that.
