  1. Come on now... There is a hike involved to get to the climb... Some think it goes all the way up...
  2. All this talk about burning eyeballs by the sun is starting to scare me into wearing this when I ski and climb on snow... I will probably also save on not using sunscreen on me face either.
  3. Are you sure?
  4. Not you, as you have made so obvious... Wimp. let me guess, seahawks? No.....
  5. That has to be the most stupid response yet....
  6. Not you, as you have made so obvious... Wimp.
  7. You guys are just summitpost posers... Nah, forget the summitpost part.... Most of ya'll are just posers.... Get real.
  8. I think we all need assurance... Do you have a group rate?
  9. The Man is a jerk....
  10. Regarding the Tattoos issue, I have alot of them, and the most visible is two half sleeves. Now, none of my former employers have ec=ver said anything about them, nor do I know of anyone complaining about them. On the other hand, I am self employed now, and my boss is an asshole. He says that a HVAC technician should not look like a hooligan... Whatever, he is a prick. Anyone need a new furnace installed by a tattooed up prick?
  11. In that pic, it looks like it already did. Then a small sump of new snow do cover up the slide tracks...
  12. Thats actually not a bad starter route on hood. You esentially cannot get lost even in a white out because of the ski boundary markers, etc. Plus it gives you an accurate representation of shit weather conditions on the mountain with minimal risk. Just bring a compass, and remember which way is south, and you'll get back to the parking lot, markers, or boundary lines. Even in a white out, you can tell if you are on the cat track.
  13. Ohhh... Thats a fun trail when it's raining out... Plus I think the top is all snow, creating a fun route finding adventure. I might see ya up there if these shitty avy conditions persist. It seems like every time I've done the Ruckle it's been during a windy, rainy day leading to snow atop. Last time I spent 40 minutes trying to find the trail down. Finally had to break out the map and compass. I actually went up to the area two days ago and scoped it out from both Wauna Viewpoint and from the bottom of the ridge. From basically just above the first scree/talus section the entire ridge is snow.. And not your usual 6inches of gorge snow, but up to two feet... Have fun, I turned around since it was getting dark. Although there are boot tracks up there, so someone is doing it in the snow.
  14. Have you checked out this guy? There is a hammer in there among other things... http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/spo/517203192.html

My goal, hit ever peak this spring in Goat Rocks, and hopefully get a massive amount of turns in in the area. And stay out of the hospital.
  16. is this you? http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/spo/512536768.html
  17. Thank god for that. It should come with a video too..
  18. This sounds like an ideal roommate/house mate. The kind you never see or hear from even though they are home a lot. As long as they pay the bills on time, whats not to like? Sounds miles from an "asshole" situation to me.
  19. What, was this guy a heroin addict, or a narcoleptic or something?! How do you fall asleep with a smoke burning? Oh, never mind... I can imagine it happening...
  20. And even after a few get crunched under trucks and what not, some of the younger generation (and some of the old as well) still don't understand the vital importance of making your self as visible as possible. After all, there are humans driving those cars, and as we all know, humans make mistakes. I get to enjoy it from both aspects, as a Bike rider and someone that drives a pretty large box van to run my business out of. And, I still don't understand why some bike riders in PDX feel that the traffic regulations do not apply to them. Perhaps this attitude is present in other places, I have yet to see that. Don't be too suprised that when you have no lights on your bike, and run the red light, that you end up under a garbage truck, dead.
  21. Several times???? The first time would have been the last time I would have lived with that guy...
  22. How is that??/ From most accounts I have heard, the guy on the bike usually loses out in this kind of confrontation.
  23. Once about 15 years ago I had this roomate named Niehn. Niehn was Vietnamese, but really wanted not to be. He would go by the name Nick. But every once in a while he would go off on these diatribes about how superior Asians where and all this crap. He would see Asian women dating White guys and call them "Race traitors" and fun names like that. What was interesting though, he would only date white girls... Niehn (nick) also liked guns, lots of them. One day I came home from work, and I found him in the back yard wearing a kung fu outfit, a rice hat, and his AK 47 hiding in the bushes in the rain... One time I came home one night with some lady friends, and he opened the door pointing a rifle at us. He was a bit wack. I moved out soon after the rifle pointing incident. But I guess I was fortunate enough not to catch him naked, stretching out his penis on a dresser...
  24. Just another quick reminder of how fast the weather can change in them thar hills. I was gonna skin up to hogsback in that morning, but my pussy ass was too hung over from going out to see the Dwarves downtown the night before. Glad I did not go after all...
  25. I can always appreciate people with money to burn. I like to reap their leftovers. Yeah, I feel better now. This sounds like good advise. I have used this train of thought at yard sales when I see specialized tools that are not common for homeowners to own. (Me:"sir, could you tell me more about this Promax refigerant recovery machine" Them:" Is that what that is??") I never see climbing stuff though. Maybe I am going to the wrong yard sales.
