  1. The central ice couloir line that Gary and slothrop did on Kent last year is in. The hard (and undone) WI5 lines on the west side of the north face are in. The west face route on the Duke of Kent was not touching down and is still undone. There are several other waterfalls in the that basin that have formed and are probably unclimbed.
  2. How are snow conditions out there on North Faces now? Is it still powder over breakable crust over powder? I'm hoping to try something on Saturday. Maybe this warm weather will consolidate it enough for stuff to come in.
  3. SP is #1 by a huge margin, no surprises there. Peakware and Bivouac are also rated high. It seams like database driven sites see a lot more traffic than message board driven sites.
  4. The water was pretty low when we tried it, maybe it's a lot higher this year. I haven't seen it.
  5. Agree with Alex. The traverse on the other side of the bank from the lake over to the correct stream bed is a royal pain in the ass. Think hip waiters and trecking poles and cross further up.
  6. Nice TR and pics Z-man. That's a fun route. I remember the first pitch being about 65 degrees with one bulge to overcome.
  7. That looks nice!
  8. We are busy preparing for next weekend. Check the forecast.
  9. Cool
  10. Chemists have amazing Physics skills? Huh, didn't know that.
  11. Great list and much better than Jens's one. The only thing I would personally change is put in Exfolitation Dome instead of Pearly Gates.
  12. I've fallen on Yellow, Blue, and Red. All held great. Haven't fallen on the gray Z3 yet, you can free climb on that one too, not just aid.
  13. Pax and Dave, What is the decent off Champagne? 2 double rope raps off of V-threads? Thanks
  14. Heh Matt. Yeah, we TRed Children of the Sun and some of Champagne. I haven't been on ice in 2 years. Felt good to get out and do it again.
  15. I only took a few shots, but here are a couple of Champagne.
  16. Thanks for the report Scott. Did you take any pics?
  17. I've always been captivated by The Infinite Spur. I loved the tale from the first ascent and remember when Steve House and partner did it in a day. Pictures of the route including that famous one in the guidebook High Alaska, and recent ones by Joe Puryear only increased my intrigue. I'll probably never climb it, but it is sure nice to dream.

    Mac vs PC

Don't forget more expensive, much slower, and with 1/10 the software available to it.
  19. This is the climbing area at the new skate park under construction in Kent. It is located at at the corner of south 240th street and 116 avenue S.E. The park should be completed and open to the public in early spring of next year.
  20. What's the address of this new park? Thanks.

  22. Suicide?
  23. That's not Index granite. Looks more similar to Leavenworth area stuff. Enchantments is my guess too. I have no idea on what peak.
  24. Looks awesome. Local?
