  6. At your service.
  7. Naming a Mountain after a human has to be one of the most pretentious and hubristic acts on earth. And the idea of renaming a peak after Fred Beckey ? Give me a fuckin' break.

  12. Oh, you whispered some pretty sweet things last night....
  13. I'm sure the number for the climbing rangers (Paradise side) is posted, but here it is again: 360-569-2211 x 6009. Call it right now and I'll answer.

    w00t to luke!

Happy 22nd Luke! I'll spark some major fireworks tonight in your honor.
  17. The Kautz Cleaver is a fun route that should still be in shape for the rest of the month. And you're right about it being uncrowded! The time I climbed it (July '03), our team saw only a single footprint (not sure how that works out). As for the approach, my personal preference is leaving from Van Trump - you start lower, but it's nice to hike through the trees and watch the views begin to open up. Plus it's more straightforward, none of that traversing and losing elevation as with the Paradise approach.
  18. Picked these up partway between the Fan and the Turtle on 6/5. PM to identify.
  19. There was a female , Lisa, her friend Kim, and snogurl. Not sure where Pandora was at though... I'll give you three guesses...and the answer starts with an "R"
  20. Since you asked, Kit, I uploaded a few snapshots especially for you. Entering Nisqually Basin: Looking down the steepest section, where I was glad to have two tools: And the lonely crater rim:
  21. Did ya see the new potholes on the Tahoma Creek trail? Yeah, that thing is a mess. There were numerous washouts, amounting to probably 25% of the trail being completely gone.
  22. Yes, I drove it last night; it's perfectly clear and in good condition (few potholes).
  23. Photo taken 5/4/06
  24. Obsession is a beautiful thing!
  25. What a classically beautiful route! Great timing.
