    Aww, C'mon!

WOW, that - is - tooooo - cool. who was the stupidass mayor or councilmember(s) who let that law be overturned?? back in DC, there were at least three times (over about two years) that I saw a cop pull up to a red light at a not-very-busy intersection, turn on his flashers, run the red light, and then turn the flashers off. WTF?? (but that's DC of course... whole differn't can o' worms... corruption and mismanagement run rampant in DC's local government.) no, there's VERY few things that get under my skin more than cops who break laws.. I say they should get twice the typical sentence that we'd get for traffic violations... aren't the fukkers supposed to be SETTING AN EXAMPLE for us?!?!? there's been a few occasions when I've called the cops' non-emergency # to complain when I see em commiting needless traffic violations.. sometimes when I had the car's ID, and sometimes when I didn't but still explained the exact time/location. and of course they feign apology and say they'll "log" or "pass on" the complaint, etc etc. maybe my phone calls actually makes a difference, maybe not.. but I still do it and would encourage others to do the same. Seattle PD's non-911 # is 206-625-5011... plug it into yer cell phone! ya never know when you may want it, either for this, or for reporting some other type of non-emergency type crime. and I say any cop convicted of ANY violent crime which is not at ALL connected to the line of duty ... (for instance domestic violence, which you seem to hear about quite a few cops getting entagled in) .... should be locked up for 30 years , w/no chance of parole. let the piece o' shit rot in jail.

Cause there's always one up in the tree nearby, ready to say "cawwrr! cawwrr cawwrr!!" PS: TGIF, all y'all biiaatches!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    WILD KINGDOM

I'm no ornithologist but I've had friends/classmates who were.. eagles and ravens have always been known to fight, have rivalries... are always fighting over food & stuff. Ravens rawk... very cool birds. Eagles aint to bad either tho.
  7. Any idea where one can drive to? Into the White River Campground yet? There's a few different campgrounds to choose from along hwy 410.. some USFS, some State Parks I think. could be crowded or even full, being Mem. Day weekend, but fuckit.. where there's logging roads, there's "poachable" camping. We'll find something.
  8. swweeeeeeett... (think Eric Cartman accent)
  9. All (well, most) organized religions are sexist in principle, in their origins.. Islam just happens to have a much higher % of it's followers following the Old Belief System... those who haven't woken up to Modern Times. One ironic thing about Dubya's crusade to "modernize" Iraq is that, at least as far as gender issues go, they're one of the Islamic countries that need modernization the LEAST. Iraq was an extremely prosperous nation during the 60s and 70s, and NOT just cuz of oil.. history shows that once a nation allows women out of the home and into the workforce, it usally results in bigtime economic growth, cause of falling birthrates and whatnot. No, if we're really concerned with liberating the Muslim world from the Middle Ages we should invade Saudi Arabia or Iran. What? Look you moonbat DIPSHIT, this is someone else's culture you're talking about. I've read accounts from Muslim women who say that they feel safer and more comfortable with the headscarf on, like when the speak to men they don't know, that they feel more respected, like they're being viewed as a person, not a woman. Ironically (tangent here).. kinda reminds me of the hippy chicks back in college who would shave all their hair off... er, their head-hair, that is, saying it made them feel more respected, etc etc.... Anyway, Josh, if you say that these Muslim women who love their scarves are brainwashed.... hmmm, perhaps. Just like I'm brainwashed to enjoy baseball, BBQed hot dogs, rock n' roll, & shit like that. For a more in depth look at Islam, go Google "Fareed Zakaria", read some of his stuff. Indian-born Muslim; editor of Newsweek International. He's written a bunch of sharp articles (esp. like right after 9/11), trying to teach America about the many faces of Islam.
  10. oh yeah, that reminds me... forgot to mention one thing. when I saw it a few nights ago I didn't laugh quuiite as hard as when I saw it in HS.. but it was still cracked me up bigtime.
  11. anyone ever heard of or seen a movie called B.C. Rock ?? animation flick from 1984 (site linked above has date wrong by 10 yrs). it's about Stuey Babcock, a caveman who at a young age was kicked out of the cave by his family. so he ends up befriending a dopey brontosaurus, a pterodactl who talks in jive, a tribe of sultry amazon-ladycats, and more. soundtrack includes the likes of Genesis, Hall&Oates, & other early 80s classicrock cheese. can be found in the "Non-Children's Animation" section of Scarecrow Video... and no, it's not exactly cartoon-porn... but it does involve "mature themes", including but not limited to sex. anyway, I saw it in high school and remember just laughing and laughing and laughing. is officially out of print/production, so I couldn't find it for years... then I just did recently at scarecrow. HIGHLY recommend it to all with a twisted/offbeat sense of humor.
  12. OK, so guess what Trask and Jimi Hendrix have in common.. for, well, me at least? They're both things that happened "before my time" so to speak (Hendrix by a number of years, Trask by a number of weeks). Anyway, with both, I've always been made to feel like I misssed-OUT-on-something. Bigtime. But, hmmm. Idunno. At the same time, with both of them, I'm could go celebrate their respective histories if I reallly wanted to. Could do [more] searches for & read Trask posts... could rent [more] Hendrix videos. But for some reason I never seem to get around to either very much. Oh well.
  13. CPU fan. also sometimes hear my hot coworker in the next cube talking to her girlfriends on the phone about how cuuute and addorrrrable her new puppydog is. oh wait, did you mean music?? lately been getting into Queens of the Stone Age.
  14. Is the P3 that plane that has a scoop/door just under the nose which allows it to skim a lake or other waterbody and pick up 1000s of gallons? saw that on some teevee documentary once.. pretty cool technique. think it might've even been Lake Wenatchee where the footage was from.
  15. Dave S. & myself are gonna ski it on Memorial Day (5/31) if the weather's good. Anyone else?? Will probably crash somewhere in the White River valley the night before, get the drive outta the way.
  16. WTF? you got to call their hotline for info on the rides? seems like if ya gotta website with all that other info you might as well put the ride route info on there too. anyway, thanks for the link, AM. Dave, there's typically 2 or 3 BBTC rides at St. Helens each summer.. you should save yer 35 bucks and just go on one of those. I'm probably gonna post one for the weekend of July 31.

back in ninth grade me n' my bros useta listed to Licensed to Ill like all the time; whole album was pretty much our anthem. Check Yer Head's great too, is prolly on my top 15 favorite albums of all bands of all time ... lots of their other stuff is good, but none of it grabbed me like them two albums. stoked to hear there's a new one comin'!
  19. thanks for the advice, all. Billygoat: am on cable at home, T1 or somethin fast like that at work. turning off the Norton firewall worked (????) ... but then promptly turned it back on of course. actually, haven't tried the "zone alarm" shizzy yet.. need to read about it more in Windows Help... which by the way Ms. Icey, and all ye other smug Mac-devotees out there, is one of the FEW things that sucks about Windows!!
  20. so does anyone else perchance have any problems with the graemlins on CC.com right now?? I can't see the damn things, or use em!!! <<anger graemlin>> instead, got like these tiny recessed-boxes where they should be. and the two icons to the left of each thread, in the thread-list, have the same. and the gif-graemlins (from posts where I remember them having been ) have the same, but with that notorious red-X-thingy. and NO it's NOT just my current drunkin' state... was like that for the last two nites too. but at work today/yesterday (Thu/Fri) it was OK, working fine. <<crying-graemlin>> <<anger-graemlin>>
