Climb: Sahale Peak-Quien Sabe Date of Climb: 7/4/2004 Trip Report: Alex_Mineev, Katia_Mineev, Christine & I ..climbed Sahale Peak via Quien Sabe Glacier. Approach kind of sucked, with the road being out. We missed the turn off for the trail and hiked to cascade pass TH. Oops, turned around and found it. We had the campsites in Boston Basin to ourselves. We could see ppl up at the upper camp for Forbidden peak. We woke up nice and lazily at aroud 5am & got going by around 630. It was completely socked in. We kept going till we hit the wall under Sharkfin and then cut right. The glacier is kind of dead.. A few Gaping holes, but nothing to worry about. We took a break at the Saddle, where Alex & I cruised up to the summit for some photo's. The clouds kind of broke right when we summited, for some nice pictures.. We descended to camp, packed up and got outta there. About 15 ppl showed up at camp as we were leaving.. Whew missed that by a day. Approach Notes: Bike would be nice? Until the road is fixed.

I can still gag myself today thinking of this. Several years ago while walking by the corner of Pine & Broadway, I started to notice a horrible smell, I wasn't quite sure wtf could make the open air smell that bad. It kept getting worse, so I knew I was getting closer. Thats when I heard the noise. It was a lip smacking slurping noise. I noticed a homeless man sitting on the wall of the school right by the bus stop there. He was chewing and slurping up package after package of RAW chicken. The smell was coming from the chicken.. He probably found it in a back alley after sitting in the sun for 5 days.. It was the worst smell I can ever remember. And this dude was eating IT! The following sequence of events is still hazy. I had a reaction similar to Tim Roth in FourRooms.. When he sees "The Dead Fucking Whore" ..Puke instantly without even a warning flew forth from my mouth,nose,EyeFucking Sockets. I almost fell down.. It felt like I was in a dream or on psilocybin.. I try to walk away, and slip in something.. !PUKE! and it wasn't mine.. I notice a girl trying to recover herself almost 30 feet away.. She just had the same reaction I did.. We debated for a moment calling 911.. I decided instead to RUN home and get my roomates to come check this shit out.. It was insane.. I think my old roomate still has pictures somewhere.

Good TR Alex & Fun climb. I just wanted to show everyone our incredible rope management skills.. Alex also forgot to mention, my dumbass dropped one of my Ice tools while placing a screw. This was in a bad spot. Fortunately it caught itself on some rocks about 100 feet below me. I downclimbed with the remaining tool safely much to Alex's discontent "he must have wanted to KILL me" since we traded tools for that pitch! Hope the injured climber is going to be OK!

I grew up here there. Needles are Gods gift to climbers. I'd go there for 3 days over 3 weeks anywhere else.

Regarding Janet's boob flop, the point is that the Super Bowl is, in many homes, a family-oriented event. Football and professional sports in general are marketed toward kids, and kids deserve a childhood. Jantet showing her seasoned boobies served only perpetutate her dwindling career. Face it, she's another retread from the last decade. I find it amusing that anybody would want to see her naked, puzzling that anybody would defend her action. She's had every opportunity to show her flopping utters in an appropriate venue. I support her right to get naked for an adults-only medium; the half-time show at the Super Bowl isn't the right place. Stonehead, since she is obviously a source of arousal for you, I'm happy that you got to see her. I only hope that her action hasn't kindled in you a new desire for aged women that will find you lurking behind the hedge at the senior center.
